- Insurance Institute of India unveils two survey outcomes, on 'Risk' and 'Telemedicine'.
Insurance Institute of India, a professional Institute devoted solely to insurance underwriting education released two survey outcomes, one on “risk” and another on “Telemedicine”. The survey was conducted on 230 respondents from 29 organisations. Sharad Mathur, MD & CEO, Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Limited unveiled both the survey reports in a session held on 12th April 2022 at Insurance Institute of India (III) premises at BKC in Mumbai. The reports were released in the presence of Devesh Srivastava, Chairman cum Managing Director, GIC Re and Prof (Dr) Dilip Ukey Vice-Chancellor, Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Deepak Godbole, Secretary-General of III, Senior officials and other faculty members of the Institute. “Surveys provide people’s opinions, views and reflect on behaviours that could help in taking important decisions and plan strategies. It is collective wisdom through knowledge sharing. This initiative of Insurance Institute of India to undertake a survey by the participation of decision-makers in the insurance industry and sharing results back to the industry by way of a report is greatly appreciated,” said Sharad Mathur, MD & CEO, Universal Sompo. The ‘risk’ survey provides insights into the risk perception shortly for the Indian insurance industry and the survey on ‘Telemedicine’ elaborates on the views of doctors and patients about the ease, practicalities, and usefulness of Telemedicine during and after the pandemic. The Telemedicine survey of 230 respondents across age groups, gender, location, and occupation was carried out to understand the awareness concerning usage and concerns related to telemedicine. Another reason to do this survey was to understand the feasibility of telemedicine in engaging patients on a digital platform and to study the rate of satisfaction achieved after using the mode of telemedicine. Survey reveals that the Indian insurance industry is resilient enough to continue to serve policyholders. Data management and analytics occur as a vital factor for successful operations in the long run and may remain beneficial for all stakeholders, including policyholders. Prof. Dr Ukey shared that the Insurance Institute of India (III) and MNLU plan to launch a joint initiative for insurance industry participants in the area of insurance laws. Deepak Godbole, Secretary-General of III said, ''Collaboration between industry and academia is key to catalyse innovation and growth. Through survey reports, the Insurance Institute of India thought of compiling the feelings, expectations, and concerns of decision-makers in the Indian insurance industry. We hope to continuously improve the quality education on insurance underwriting in India and globally”. Mr Deepak added that the Insurance Institute of India is working on many new initiatives including creating a repository of case studies in insurance. About Insurance Institute of India (III) Established in 1955, the Insurance Institute of India (III) has been playing an important role in insurance education, training, and capacity development for professionals in insurance services as also in spreading insurance awareness among the masses. The institute conducts examinations at various levels and is the only professional institute in India devoted solely to insurance-underwriting education. - RBI certifies fintech led 121 Finance as India’s first NBFC-Factor
Key Highlights: · The recognition comes after the revised factoring regulations announced by the RBI under the revised Registration of Factors Regulations (2022) · Aims to deliver the Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS) experience for seamless Working Capital solutions to MSMEs · 121 Finance is strongly placed to reach annual disbursements of over Rs. 500 crores by 2023 121 Finance becomes India’s first fintech-led NBFC-Factor to receive the Certificate of Registration under Registration of Factors (Reserve Bank) Regulations, 2022. The NBFC-Factor addresses the most significant challenge most businesses suffer from, i.e., arranging short-term funds for MSMEs, without any collateral. Until now, Factoring was offered only to the large corporates, however, 121 Finance has brought factoring to the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and has its roots ground deep in FinTech. MSMEs are actively seeking alternate sources of Working Capital, especially since the banks are moving out of cash credit limits for small businesses. Dr Ravi Modani, Founder & CEO of 121 Finance is passionate about bringing the digital factoring experience to MSMEs. “Digital Factoring is the simplest, fastest, effectively lowest cost solution for Working Capital for any business, more so for MSMEs. With financial technologies and registration as an NBFC-Factor in place, we are strongly placed to reach annual disbursements of over Rs 500 crores by 2023. 121 Finance has been a pioneer in Digital B2Blending through Government eMarketplace (GeM Sahay), offering Sachet Loans or small ticket sized loans and now aims to deliver the Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS) experience for seamless Working Capital solutions to MSMEs,” says Dr Modani. 121 Finance is versatile to handle the smallest of invoices and high volumes, with end-to-end digital processes. Through Gem Sahay, 121 Finance has been able to deliver a solution to a borrower via a Do It Yourself (DIY) model wherein borrowers can apply for a loan 24x7 by themselves. Using financial technologies and integrations on GeM Sahay, 121 Finance has been able to finance invoices as small as Rs 160. Regarding changes post the new factoring regulations by RBI in 2022, Dr Modani believes that the recent developments in e-invoicing coupled with Digital Factoring will disrupt the entire transaction-based lending in the country which will eventually help in mitigating a lot of risk in lending. “Revised Factoring regulations will also see a huge opportunity in the FinTech B2B lending space, with extremely competitive offerings. This will also give a lot of options to the businesses to choose from. With bigger NBFCs in play, the awareness of Factoring will increase amongst users, which will lead to the growth of the small business across the country,” adds Dr Modani. 121 Finance is currently working on offering invoice verification using Blockchain technology and is developing algorithms using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to enhance its credit coverage geographically. To reduce turnaround times, the company is also developing integrations with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software tools including Tally, to offer convenience to borrowers in the Factoring and Working Capital Finance space. “Our vision is for any business in India is to be able to sell on credit and 121 Finance being able to manage the receivable and offer cash to the seller leveraging the latest financial technologies and make India the flagbearer in Digital Factoring,” says Dr. Ravi Modani. About 121 Finance Private Limited Jaipur-based 121 Finance is India’s first fintech led NBFC-Factor to receive the Certificate of Registration under RBI’s revised Registration of Factors Regulations (2022). A Digital Factoring company, on a mission to bring factoring, that was only available to corporates so far, to the MSMEs and especially support small ticket size trade to grow. Using financial technologies as leverage, the company is bringing disruptive upgrades to the world of Working Capital Finance with Factoring – collateral-free finance, Embedded Finance, Co-lending, and other customized short-term offerings. Headed by Dr Ravi Modani, PhD in Working Capital Management, 121 Finance is focused on delivering Working Capital loans backed by the knowledge and understanding of its core team in its third-generation legacy in business, finance, and technology.
- "Sejal Ray" with The "Best Way" Of Seeing The World
14th of April is always a special day for "Taare Zameen Par(TZP)" who conveys a positive impact on the mental health of families as well as parent-child bonding. That's why Team Stay Featured had a quick conversation with Mrs Sejal Ray from her busy schedule, these are some glimpses of our conversation for readers 1. Turning point to start this initiative While I was on Sabbatical leave, I started conducting life skill values classes for children from 8 to 16 years in the year 2016. I used to interact with a lot of parents as well as children on regular basis. During these interactions, I realised that there are multiple aspects where there is some gap between parents and children's perspectives. It also helped me reflect on my parenting. Though both, parent and child were correct from their perspectives, a gap was visible in understanding and communication at times. So I started giving assignments that would need involvement and communication from both - parents as well as children. Slowly and gradually, these assignments started serving as a tool to bridge the gap. This made me look at the bigger picture. As these were physical classes, they would always have limited scope and I started thinking about how can I create an impact globally. That’s when the idea of coming up with an online platform struck me. I realise the online platform is the only way to create an impact at the global level. This is when “Taare Zameen Par” online platform was born. "Taare Zameen Par(TZP)" is a platform to showcase talent and in turn create a positive impact on the mental health of families as well as parent-child bonding. It is a community of 11K+ parents. It is one platform where more than 240 live performances of children have been done in one year and are completely free. TZP has been a kick off the platform for children to start their journey of passion and doing what they love. Children have received World Records, learnt completely new skills, gained self-confidence, overcome stage fear, improved communication skills, received recognition in their immediate circle and developed a strong bond with their parents due to TZP platform. 2. Major problems We faced TZP is an online global platform and there are rules and policies to be followed. The platform consists of different members from different places and cultures. Individuals might have their own goals and would seek support from the platform. It is important to maintain a balance between following the rules and also ensuring that the platform can be of support to genuine members. This is one major challenge faced while running an online platform. A similar challenge was faced during the Shining Star Award process. The awardees for Shining Star Awards were selected by juries but there were multiple requests received to include the names of children who were not part of the process from the beginning. The entire TZP team and I have always handled such challenges by being straight and communicating what is possible and what is not as per the set rules. Clear communication and transparency have always helped us in doing the right things. 3. Future vision There are few plans for the future. 1. At TZP, we have children from India performing live on the platform right now. Children from Indian culture from other countries like US, UK, and Dubai have also participated. As a next step, we want to bring in culture and talent from other countries on the platform and have amalgamation of different cultures through this platform 2. Shining star Award event was done in Maharashtra state in Sep’21 where 51 children were selected and awarded. We plan to extend this event to other states of India and gradually have talent across India be recognised 3. We also plan to have State Ambassadors and Regional Ambassadors for TZP across India to have parents and children from all over India join the platform 4. We also plan to start an initiative where children and families who do not have any passion as of now can discover their passion through different tools and counseling BIG Thank you note to everyone who contributed to this work My entire TZP Core Team Ekta Mehta, Aastha Katara, Vibha Shinde, Farhat Pedekar, Surbhi Thakkar. This team has been with me right from beginning with sole purpose of contributing to the society. As TZP is non profit community, its only voluntary contribution. Hats off to all of them without him TZP would not have been possible. TZP Extended Team – Sheetal Nanal, Nidhi Bhandare, Kavitha Krishnamoorthy who have always been there to support with any support required anytime even in adhoc manner. My Family – my husband, both daugters, parents, parents in law. They have always given me wings to fly and never tried to stop me from doing anything that I want to do. - And Still, I Had These Dreams - can make you soar or make you weep
Team Stay Featured would like to confess this is not a regular review about" And Still, I Had These Dreams" We would like to bring some points and a collection of Acknowledgements for an Author Ann Christine Tabaka. And Still, I Had These Dreams - A poetry collection by an Author Ann Christine Tabaka who has been nominated for the 2017 Pushcart Prize in Poetry, winner of Spillwords Press 2020 Publication of the Year (Poetic). Ann Christine Tabaka is almost succesful keep you in the loop of Lingering Doubts,an "Entrenched" experience of Summer's Fallen memories with Whispered Prayer of Becoming who you are". "The Past Falls Away ", "First Step - Transformation" is the real example of learning lessons for you as a poet, Because it's always important to have "Self'-Talk" as a storyteller before putting your lines over the paper and. have a hidden narration without uttering a word- That's the real success or feel of the book you can say. As per the review of one reader Lms Roberts, 'This book is suffused with melancholy, with meditations on death and loss, pain and anxiety, that only a mature poet can offer" As per Sharon Frame Gay, "Going Away" is a poem of determination and healing, and the beautiful "What Color Is The Wind". This is a must-have for all who love poetry as she takes you on a gentle ride through her soul." As per famous author and Publisher Steve Carr, A plastic bird becomes a reminder of a loving marriage in “Yard Kitsch.” A plant has never been so forlorn as the one in “My Garden.” She takes us with her on a trip, familiar to most of us, to the “Coffee Shop.” A sparrow becomes a symbol of longing and regret in “Going Away.” “A Popcorn Afternoon” is an unstated ode to that simplest of pleasure, the popcorn kernel. Those are just a few of the examples in which Christine stirs our emotions not just with what we hear in her words, but what we see through her observations. For those of us who are fans of her work, and there are many of us, And Still, I Had These Dreams also has poems that reach into your chest and make your heart stop beating for a moment because of their raw emotion. In short, this book is a real idea of " read the world carefully, knowing that not everything will be translated for us", that's why it's worth grabbing a copy of "And Still, I Had These Dreams" To join her on her Facebook Page or Group: Click here

- Where do we stand with the Education 2030 agenda? Dr Pratik Mungekar
Dr Pratik Mungekar delivered his talk on Quality Education in the 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 Day 4 #SustainableDevelopment Goal 4, April 4 2022 🇮🇳🇯🇵🇧🇩🇹🇭🇺🇸🇬🇧🇨🇦🇰🇪🇬🇪🇱🇧🇵🇭🇬🇷🇮🇩🇧🇹🇲🇺🇧🇷🇽🇰🇱🇸🇳🇵🇦🇴🇲🇭 🇭🇰 … Here is the video link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvbbhc0haAo Now Let's read the complete Transcript by Dr Pratik Mungekar The Education 2030 agenda was adopted in 2015 to ‘ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all’ by 2030 with a series of targets set out to realize this. Before COVID-19, the world was already off-track to meeting the targets and because of the pandemic, some of the gains already made in education were lost. Education was severely disrupted worldwide with the most vulnerable learners affected worst. However, the crisis also saw global partnerships strengthened or newly forged some argue to rethink the way forward for education and realize the Education 2030 goals. The United Nations (UN) ratified 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to serve as benchmarks for every nation to ensure global prosperity, protection of the planet, and eradication of poverty. This Agenda is a plan of action for people, the planet and prosperity. It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom. We recognise that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including extreme poverty, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. All countries and all stakeholders, acting in collaborative partnership, will implement this plan. Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, United Nations Goal 4 of the SDGs was a unique goal-focused purely on education. This is the first time such a standalone education goal has been set and ratified. Goal 4—Quality Education: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning For those who agree with the role that the UN plays, it is hard to disagree with any of the goals or much of the wording. The call for a Quality Education – not merely access to any education – is a grand step in ensuring that all children, and not just those from high-income countries, have a quality education. But what do we mean by a quality education? There are some who argue that the threshold of quality education is met by focusing only on literacy and numeracy, but the SDGs are a recognition that this definition is insufficient and outdated. Education is not simply a content delivery system; rather, it is a system designed to help all children reach their full potential and enter society as full and productive citizens. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon set the SDG process in motion in 2012 by declaring that every child must be in school, and the quality of those schools must improve so that students are prepared to be productive citizens, ready to lead the future. We must make sure that what comes out of the indicator roundtables taking place in 2016 defines and addresses the term Quality Education. Too many times, we have seen the meaning of words be adjusted, stripped, diluted, or subjected to complete metamorphoses. Words and phrases like accountability and data-driven have had their well-intentioned and appropriate meanings changed. Accountability is now code for teacher evaluations linked to student academic achievement, while data driven too often equates to test scores only. data-driven active and productive members. The meaning of a Quality Education is pedagogically and developmentally sound and educates the student in becoming an active and productive members of society. A Quality Education is not measured purely by a test score or by how many words per minute a 5-year-old can read. To hark back to these simplified measurements is to do a disservice to both the student and the phrase Quality Education itself. A quality education provides the outcomes needed for individuals, communities, and societies to prosper. It allows schools to align and integrate fully with their communities and access a range of services across sectors designed to support the educational development of their students. Quality education is supported by three key pillars: ensuring access to quality teachers; providing use of quality learning tools and professional development; and the establishment of safe and supportive quality learning environments. The SDGs reflect a global consensus in our young century that education is a human right and a public good that is critical to the health and future of the world. But ours is a world of severe challenges, with millions of students under fire, unsettled and unschooled due to conflict and governments globally failing to meet their funding commitments to education, especially among their poorest citizens. Education advocates have a responsibility to promote policies that integrate schools, communities, and nations into a system that supports the development of the whole child, ensuring that each student is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. We must make sure that a Quality Education is just that – an education that serves each child pedagogically and developmentally. An education that is inclusive and is structured to realize the potential of each child regardless of location or economic status. Don’t let the words change their meaning—quality education is needed for all. WHY QUALITY EDUCATION MATTERS The ways that education affects poverty — and can help to end it — are well documented. But the ways education can help to end extreme poverty are only possible if education is approached in a meaningful way. 2012, then-UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said: “Education is about more than literacy and numeracy – it is also about citizenry. Education must fully assume its central role in helping people to forge more just, peaceful and tolerant societies.” Here are some of the ways the UN further defines “quality” education, and some of the ways we’re working towards this goal at Concern. BUILDING RELEVANT SKILLS FOR FINANCIAL SUCCESS Extreme poverty is generally defined as a lack of assets or a lack of return on those assets. One of these assets is skills, including technical and vocational skills. The more relevant these skills are in the 21st Century, the more likely they are to generate a return. This not only means understanding how relevant skills have changed against the digital revolution and automation, but also against climate change, shifting societal norms, and political realities. ELIMINATING DISCRIMINATION IN EDUCATION Education is a fundamental human right. However, there are 263 million children and youth around the world who are kept out of the classroom. Many of them are excluded due to discrimination, including over 130 million girls excluded based on gender. Quality education means equality in education, at all levels, for all vulnerable populations. UNIVERSAL LITERACY AND NUMERACY According to UNESCO, if all adults acquired basic literacy and numeracy skills, an estimated 171 million people could escape extreme poverty. However, UNESCO also estimates that there are 781 million illiterate adults (over the age of 15) around the globe. Many of these adults have completed several years of education, but due to different barriers remain unable to read or count. Many of these instances are due to language minorities in a region. For example, education in Niger (which consistently ranks last on the United Nations Development Programme’s Education Index) is often limited due to language barriers in the classroom. While the national language of Niger is French, in a region like Tahoua, most children grow up speaking Hausa. A concern brought its “Mother Tongue” program into one school in Tahoua, where almost all of the 787 participating students in grades 2 and 3 read no French or Hausa. This method is in line with UNESCO’s recommendation for early teaching in the mother tongue. By beginning their education in their mother tongue and gradually transitioning to French, we saw illiteracy rates drop to 25-34% from 96-100% over four years. We’ve had similar success with this program in Haiti and Kenya. INCLUSIVE AND SAFE SCHOOLS The environment is crucial to fostering quality education. This means building and upgrading schools that are child-friendly, disability- and gender-sensitive, and provide safe, nonviolent, and inclusive spaces for kids to learn — and enjoy being kids. Unfortunately, both physical and psychological aggression and gender biases are still prevalent in far too many schools QUALIFIED TEACHERS One of the UN’s other main goals around education is to increase the population of qualified teachers, especially in the least developed countries and small island states, around the world. While many teachers receive training, it’s not always in line with the best education models, or it’s not tailored to teaching in fragile contexts. For our education programming, we want to focus on educating the next generation, but we also care about educating the educators. Our work in Mother Tongue education means ensuring that teachers have bilingual training in both the national and mother tongues of their classrooms. READY TO LEARN MORE? Concern’s work in primary education is grounded in the belief that all children have a right to learn. I believe that education is one of the best routes out of poverty and integrate it into both our development and emergency work to give extremely poor children more opportunities in life, and to support their overall well-being.

- RRR -Arrived to break all-time records of 'Baahubali 2
It's not just a solid entertainer but also an epitome of classic filmmaking by connecting with our original roots. Director S. S. Rajamouli knows what his audience expects from him, That's why every sequence is loaded with logic, action, patriotism and entertainment . RRR 2022, Screen Time : 186 min. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli. Starring Ram Charan, N.T. Rama Rao Jr., Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Prakash Raj. Here it is, the third-largest film of S. S. Rajamouli, with two big stars Ram Charan and Jr.NTR. The film is based on1920 Pre-Independence period and depicts the fight against British Government in India. Ram Charan is introduced first and he is playing the character of a British Officer, but his heart melts for India. K.V Viyajyendra Prasad and Dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra, have displayed a great screenplay and story too. The meeting of both happens on a different stage, where Ram, takes hundred of men on him to fight like a typical South Movie style. The actions and cinematography are classic shooted and there is no leak in it. The cameo of Ajay Devgn takes the story further and also makes some sudden twists too. The "Jodi" of Ram and NTR, travels the friendship from an enemy to friendship, and then the "Dosti" song is picturized. Ram has a fiancé back home; played by Alia Bhatt and Bheem has a bit of a yes /no with an English woman, Jenny (Olivia Morris). Each one of them, have their mission. Bheem played by Jr.NTR, comes along to save her tribe girl, which is kidnapped by the British Army. He brings a set of wild animals with him, which is unexpected and is very thrilling to look for. His fight begins, and the scene where a tiger attacks and he fights against it is amazingly shooted. Bheem who is on a mission to save a girl is an unknown fact that Ram is working for the British Police, and soon they are in front of each other as strong enemies to fight. The story is filled with misunderstandings, conflicts and a lot of actions, yet it is sustained the audience minds in people's minds and the audience is giving a tremendous response. From every piece of music, it is clarified that there is a lot of effort and intelligent decisions regarding the music of the film. The major one "Natu Natu " hit nearly about 120M views after the song's release. Ajay Devgn playing a cameo, is also one of the major roles. Shriya Saran also made her role fulfilled by her acting skills. The set design is also great. By the time, the film comes to end with a climax, we see a fabulous look of Lord Rama in Hindu scripture and that too is a mesmerizing one. Dialogues hit, songs hit, actions hit, and acting hit, everything at its perfect position has done the job great for RRR, Ram Charan, NTR, and Rajamouli. With an IMDB rating of 9.1/10 and a box office collection of the 700CR mark, the film is celebrating its presence in Theatres. There is no surprise The biggest event film out of India this year comes not from Bollywood, but from its southern cousin as we observed the growth of south indian cinema.
