Congratulations on the release of "Dil Dimag aur Batti"
The entertainment industry is said to be full of stress and pressure; what do you do to tackle the pressure that comes with your work?
All you need to do is stay positive, and trust the process and your vision. It is not a cakewalk so you should be mentally prepared to face difficulties. You should be able to take the pressure and deliver as and when needed because that will give you good mileage. Cribbing and excuses won’t help you, so just give your best. I’ve been consistently playing basketball no matter how busy I am. Because it gives me strength and positivity and sheer happiness.
Entertaining people is the most difficult task; how did you become interested in this line of work?
I’ve been entertaining my close ones since childhood! Humour is what keeps you alive. It was not a difficult task for me. Only the technicalities are to be taken care of when you are in front of the camera.
Acting allows you to be a different person altogether. You can explore various angles of a human personality. So this is what fuels my interest.
What's the strength of the retro theme that you observed and decided to implement as we observed this film is completely different from other Marathi movies joining theatres in recent times?
Yes! This film is a retro film with a unique spice added to it. We’re used to the typical approach which is being applied in every film. Our team has worked hard to make something different just to make you all laugh. It’s a spoof with a good story and screenplay. We’ve mind-boggling characters with many surprise factors attached to every character. Every character in this film is important and the space for every actor is equally distributed. You’ll witness comedy, emotions and action sequences as well. Complete entertainment package!!
Share the experience while working with legends and newcomers at the same time
It was fun! Onset energy was beyond my imagination. We shot the climax together. It was a 10 to 12 days schedule. 15 actors together sound fun but if you step into the production’s shoes it is very difficult to manage the schedule. We can make another comedy film if we compile all the behind the scenes! Now you can imagine the laughter, jokes and the madness which was also a part of the shooting process!
Our readers want to know about your passion for sports and music
As I mentioned above I like playing basketball. Nothing can replace basketball. I can not imagine my life without sports and music. Singing and keyboard ( Piano ) give wings to your life. As an actor, you must be able to feel things. Music helps you feel a feeling and a thought.
We recently noticed some of your work as a director, can you share with us some of your experience as a director? How was the transition for you from being an actor to a director?
I am a writer before a director. I’d prefer to direct the story and characters written by me. Because you need a different vision when it comes to direction. In short, I should be involved in the beginning phase of the script development to direct it.
Which fictional character would be the most exciting to meet in real life?
White walker in the game of thrones!

If you could star as any popular film character on stage for your next Broadway venture, who would it be and why?
I don’t look up to any particular character. Rather I look forward to seeing something which has not been seen yet.

I will make sure that you people will enjoy my work and I will always try to bring something new so that you will have a gala time. I will also try to explore the unexplored side of our society through my films!
