Let's hear from Pooja Doshi

I am a commerce graduate and post that pursued a designing course from NIFT, Delhi. I am born and brought up in Chandigarh and settled in Pune for the last 8 years. I am blessed with a loving and supporting family.

My online venture Miraya Arts is an outcome of my love for art and creativity. “I believe that when Your Passion becomes your profession, it’s a blessing and a dream come true! “This is true for my online venture, Miraya Arts which is bespoke gifts and gift packaging solutions provider.

My Venture was started in 2015 and to date, we have successfully delivered products and services to more than 1200 clients globally. It feels proud to have more than 400 products in my collection and my work supports close to 25 skilled artisans from various parts of India who make our products.

To tell about TZP Maa Award, which I received in April 2022, it has been truly rewarding to be recognized and be felicitated as TZP Artist and Mompreneur. I have been associated with TZP since this amazing online platform was started by its founder, Sejal Ray during the Pandemic in 2020.TZP is an avenue to nurture and encourage talent in children, my daughter has participated in the talent show organized by TZP and she was an awardee for TZP Shining Star Awards launched in 2021.

I have received various awards including the Rising Star Award 2017 by We are the City U.K, the Digital Women Award 2019 by Shethepeople and Google, featured in the National FLO compendium of 100 successful women in the MSME Sector (2020) and supported by the Ministry of MSME, Govt of India, featured in Femina magazine and more.

All these recognitions and awards are for my achievements in my professional sphere but TZP Maa Awards recognised my talent and achievements as a beautiful blend of being a mother and an entrepreneur. This surely makes this award more special. This award would not have been possible without the support and love of my family, primarily my husband Karan Doshi and my daughter, IshaniDoshi. I would like to express my gratitude to my work associates as well without whom I could not have come this far in my Entrepreneurial journey.

A big thank you to TZP founder Sejal Ray and the TZP team for coming up with the concept of the TZP Maa Awards and felicitating mothers excelling in their respective professional fields and setting role models for aspiring mothers to turn their dreams into a reality.

Being from a business class family and because of my love for creativity, I always aspired to be an entrepreneur. I would like to share that in becoming an entrepreneur, especially in a new city, life has been an enjoyable and adventurous roller coaster ride. Even though setting up my venture and scaling it up has not been an easy task but being passionate about my work, I have learnt to take challenges in my stride and come out of them to the best of my capacity.

My work has given me an identity where people recognise me .M work has provided me avenues to Promote Indian Art and Handicrafts to a global level and make the celebrations of my clients memorable with our creative Make in India gifts. Being an entrepreneur has been surely a life-changing event,

I would like to share with the readers of my life’s journey, especially women, that we all have immense potential in us and we should not hesitate to work on turning our passion into a reality. I would like to add that we all have to move on in our journey as best possible so we should not compare ourselves with others, let’s be a better version of ourselves and keep moving on. Also, we should help others with our expertise and always be grateful to our family and friends who are our support system.

I am working with a vision to make Miraya Arts, a well-known name in creative make in India return gifts, in the global market. I am getting on board more Indian craftsmen including women artisans to empower them and create a productive work ecosystem.
