Team Beta emerged as the winners of the TYE Business Plan Competition 2023 after a closely fought finals among four groups made up of 14 students from top schools across the city. The team’s impressive business plan, Admit AI, proposes the use of AI to address the problem of manual admissions into universities, resulting in inefficiency and inaccuracy. The team members of Beta are Lasya Pericherla (Prerana Waldorf School), Palash Salla, Ananya Tirumala, and Varun Ponnala (all from Oakridge International School). Meanwhile, Team Gamma, composed of Nikita Shivakumar (Prerana Waldorf School), Sujith Chennupati, and Veeren Chowdary Boppana (both from Oakridge International School), won the People's Choice Award for their personalized meal delivery service that creates customized meal plans for individuals based on their dietary needs and preferences. Both teams will be nominated for the TYE Global Competition, which is a testament to their excellent ideas and execution. On Friday, April 21, the Governor of Telangana, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, inaugurated a two-day Summit on Health Insurance Vision 2030 Quality & Affordable Health For All at the Federation House in Red Hills. Organized by the Health Committee of The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI), this is the first national summit involving all stakeholders with a focus on "Patient First." The objective of the summit is to develop innovative patient-centric health insurance schemes and products to improve accessibility, assure affordable and cost-effective insurance products, and build awareness of existing health insurance schemes. Additionally, the summit aims to further increase health insurance penetration in Telangana to achieve universal health coverage (UHC) on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode, understand and find solutions to overcome the challenges in the health insurance sector, and address the existing Patient Complaint Redressal System. During the summit, the Governor emphasized the importance of health insurance, stating that it is a fundamental right and must be accessible to everyone. She pointed out that, despite living in an advanced society, we still see children being born with deformities. Medical facilities must reach everyone, and people must have access to a master check-up either a day before or after every birthday celebration. The summit also highlighted the work of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) in increasing insurance penetration in the country. Ms SN Rajeshwari, Member Distribution, IRDA, stated that the regulator is working on simplifying the process, leveraging technology, and working on a robust grievances cell with a customer service-centric approach. Additionally, the regulator is encouraging insurers to offer discounts and incentives to increase the penetration of insurance in India. The pandemic has underscored the importance of health insurance, and the summit aimed to increase awareness of health insurance in India. It is encouraging to note that the awareness of health insurance has increased, and insurers have settled millions of claims worth billions of rupees. As Ms SN Rajeshwari noted, "Insurance is directly linked to the growth of the economy." A South Indian film remake named "Thadam" made its Bollywood debut with the name "Gumrah" starring Aditya Roy Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Rohit Roy in the lead. Following the technical aspects of the movie, produced by Krishna Kumar and Anjum Khetani, it is directed by Vardhan Ketkar with T-Series films. The plot seems interesting as we are shown a murder in just 5 minutes of the movie, and the police start the investigation. Usually, after a murder there are suspects, and police try to find the murder weapon, and also connect the dots via people investigating them. The same happens here, and we reach a twist which is the core of the movie, and then the real struggle of the police starts. The camera shots and the cinematography is good. Close shots and some drone shots fit in the movie and try to make strong statements. The direction too looks decent excluding some scenes which made the movie dull to watch, but the screenplay made its effect and sustained till the end. The story and screenplay are by Magizh Thirumeni, who has written the original one. Dialogues define characters and the arc, through which the audience might relate to the movie, and get engaged. Some twists and turns in the movie made it possible for the makers to sustain themselves in theatres believing in the collection point of view. As it is an official remake of " Thadam", most of the things can be co-related. Overall, it is a one-time watch movie. It is rated 6.5/10 on IMDb.
