One of the biggest challenges facing people just entering the workforce is that they are not career / job-ready, despite completing studies at a master's level. What students need are good communication skills to first bag that coveted job and then succeed at it. A potential candidate who has good communication skills not only aces all their interviews, but once hired, they are also able to perform well in their jobs with great interpersonal skills. Also, many students, despite having great academic credentials and great strengths, are not able to put that across to interview boards or hiring committees, because they have not had adequate interview practice, and so their nerves get the better of them, or they cannot articulate their USP. Our Xtraprep workshops help train students with these critical communication and interview skills, which will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Xtra Prep workshops- are they only for students or also for individuals who wish to hone up their skills before applying for different interviews Currently, Xtraprep workshops are aimed at helping high school (Class 9-12), college students, and those pursuing their Master's degrees upskill in their communication skills. However, if we do see demand from working individuals for our service then we will be open to expanding its availability to other sectors also. How does the whole process of sharing recordings with institutions/organisations work? We have deliberately kept the process very simple. An organisation does not need any added IT infrastructure, they do not need to download any App, they do not need to log in anywhere. A simple email reaches their inbox with a link to the video of the recorded interview. They just have to click, watch and assess. We store the video at our cost for a period of 12 months. This allows the candidate the flexibility to share it with multiple organisations. Hiring companies benefit, too, because they can review the interviews at their own time and convenience. The recording also allows them the opportunity to review and reassess or compare between candidates at any point during the review process. Xtraview is a unique platform and I believe there are no competitors for it- why and where do you think there was a need to create a platform like this Yes, Xtraview does not have any competition in the Indian market. Being conscious communicators ourselves, both Katherine and I understood the relevance, importance and need for students to have this skill to succeed in today's world. It doesn't matter if you dream of becoming a dancer, a data analyst, an aeronautical engineer, a painter, an entrepreneur, a social worker, a marine biologist, or a corporate manager - at every level and stage of your career, being able to put a face and voice to your idea is what will allow students to succeed. The pandemic has brought about a revolution in education and business, and the digital way of working is nowhere to stay. Learning how to communicate effectively on digital platforms is a skill that every individual needs today. Yet not all parents and teachers are equipped to train their children in this skill because they are learning this at the same time as their children. Hence, we realised that this is a great need in the market today and we can help students succeed and give them the skills and tools to be able to chase their dreams. Is language a barrier in the interview process with both institutions and organisations as we see there are a lot of people who have the bandwidth to deliver but are not good at communication skills? Let's read what she wrote When you think of any male-dominated industry, construction is one of the first careers that come to your mind. Of all the people who work in construction, women only take up a small percentage of the workforce. When I joined the construction industry 18 years ago, that time this figure was even lower. Now, in 2020 things are immensely different we see more women thriving in the construction industry compared to the last few decades. Construction is the second largest industry in India after agriculture and it contributes significantly to the overall GDP. It’s an industry that gives jobs to both the skilled and unskilled alike. Women take up over 25% of the construction industry workforce in India. According to a recent report, there are about 1.46 million construction workers in India, about 36 lakhs of them are women. However, there is a larger scarcity of women in the technical and managerial roles, particularly civil engineers, architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, maintenance and supervisorial staff, as just 1.4 per cent of women are engaged in such technical roles within the industry and even lesser employ themselves in the construction industry. Such a disparity is a result of the gender bias that exists within the Indian society about women working on-site. It can even be seen in the ratio of male to female students in Civil Engineering courses which is 4:1. And even from this limited number of female students, only 20 per cent of women join the construction sector and the rest move on to the other sectors. As an employer, it has been a constant challenge to hire women in such a male field for various reasons. But the reason that stands out and affects me the most is that not many women look at construction or civil engineering as a career option. I have seen many women who after completing their civil engineering courses join as lecturers in universities. More than within the industry, this stigma is due to environmental and societal pressures that make this disparity led to discrimination against women. It pains me to say that it’s an unfair result of past precedence and preconceived notions. Unfortunately, construction has always been a male-dominated and ruled sector not only in India but even for the rest of the world. You will find very few women on sites or working in civil construction companies. The experience scars women especially on the day they have to choose their branch of specialization in engineering. “Civil engineering is not meant for women,” they are told. “What will you do going on-site?” “Do you think it’s safe?” are some of the questions thrown constantly at young women who choose this career. For women to safely and confidently enter the male-dominated field of construction, they can seek the increasing number of resources available to them that addresses their specific needs in the industry: There is still much work to be done to fully include women in construction. To increase recruitment and improve retention of women in the sector, companies must acknowledge the gender bias and work hard to remove such a gap of gender bias from their corporate culture. Companies need to develop training programs and local mentorship groups specific to the needs of women. The inclusion of female staff in the hiring process can make the trainees more comfortable. A positive work environment and the need to encourage women to become role models for other women can form a positive chain reaction for self-realisation and fulfilment for the other female staff. Schools and educational programs need to highlight the value of construction jobs for women and young girls so that they can see the industry as a viable career path. The construction worker shortage has presented an opportunity for more women to be hired while also fixing the issue. However it needs to be acknowledged that there is a skill gap when it comes to women working in construction, but there are ways to get around this as experience brings skill over time. With more and more ground-breaking women pushing at gendered norms and levelling the playing field, the industry is taking bigger steps at becoming a more diverse and viable field for a new generation of construction workers. - Runner, Sameer Singh to run 10 thousand kilometres “100x100 Ultra” to spread health awareness
Runner Sameer Singh is going to run a 10,000 km race “100x100 ULTRA” to prevent infection during the Corona period and to raise awareness about immunity among the people. For this initiative, they choose the slogan “Make yourself fit and Beat the covid". Sameer Singh, a resident of Kanahera village in the Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, is now going to take a different route to spread awareness against Corona. 40-year-old Sameer believes that running is the most effective way to increase immunity by freeing our body from all germs and diseases. The main purpose behind this marathon race is to encourage those who shy away from running to run at least 2-3 km every day. Sameer will make 4 daily trips in Mandsaur, located in the area of 25 km from 28 March. The race will end on 6th July 2021. With this goal, he will be running a hundred kilometres daily. This will be recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as well. Trooper and PR 24x7 are the Online and PR partners for the ‘100x100 Ultra’ respectively. In the past, Sameer Singh has also participated in running more than 14 thousand km to support the martyred soldiers. Kirui Kurui is koach of Sameer. Kirui Kurui from Kenya, himself is a well-known runner and guided him for the last five years. Under his guidance, fulfil Sameer has participated in several events of the Marathon & Ultra Marathon. By getting technical training from Kirui Kurui, Sameer has not only created awareness towards the race but has also tried to unite people towards the race. Notably, Sameer wanted to go to Research and Analytical Wing (R&AW) since childhood but since he is only a matric pass, he could not fulfill his dream of becoming an officer in RAW. Although, his passion for running earned him nationwide fame. Sameer collaborated with film actor Akshay Kumar in December 2017 to run a 14,195 km marathon race from Wagah border Punjab border in Haryana to Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Bengal, North-East states, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Leh and back to Wagha Border in seven months 6 days. At the same time, his mother passed away, but Sameer, who was running to help the families of the soldiers, did not attend the funeral of the mother. It is worth noting that Sameer Singh now gives training for marathons while residing in Mumbai.

He was one of the principal sources of valuable life lessons. He wished me a secure success and blessed me with his lessons and ideology. It’s all because of his wishes, blessings and a green pen signature on July 17, 2010. From then till his existence, he always helped with a lot of impossible things. The most forming personalities M.M. Rahman Sir and Akhileshwar Mishra Sir who are also main sources of shaping me as a person. Whatever values we deliver today, it's all because of the deep-rooted-wings supports. How Knack Ardour Started? It all started on April 1, 2017. Every down tour is a new beginning and that’s how we started Knack Ardour. A-wings to a new age management consulting company. We have seen many businesses die an immature death and that’s what exactly happened. 80% of the businesses which started together are nowhere existing today. Back then, I met with a lot of businesses across India. They all were facing challenges in different segments.
