- Intello Labs "Praman", a Groundbreaking, AI-Powered Agriculture Produce Trade Exchange Platform
Intello Labs, a global AI-powered quality assaying startup, formally announced the launch of their Praman business today, which has been in stealth mode over the past few months. Praman is groundbreaking agriculture produce trade exchange platform, with integrated quality assessment. It currently facilitates spot-trading and re-auctioning in agri-commodities including cardamom, onion, garlic, pomegranate, apple, potato, and tomato. Praman is building a much-needed quality layer between farmers and traders to accelerate and accomplish the digital transformation of Indian agriculture. Within a few months since its launch, Praman has already achieved a monthly Gross Transaction Value (GTV) of USD 40 million. Praman has successfully re-engineered auctions and trade through AI-based quality assessment, making them data-driven and digital. As a truly digital exchange platform, Praman breaks the limitations of the current manual processes, automatically generating quality reports which are fed directly into the exchange platform. Besides automating workflow, Praman makes data on the quality of the agri-produce remotely accessible, allowing traders to participate in real-time from anywhere, without the need to be physically present at auctions or market yards. "We are pleased to give the entire trading process a digital makeover, driving geographic expansion and market outreach. This initiative is one more step in establishing Intello Labs as a leader in agritech and innovation," said Milan Sharma, co-founder, and CEO of Intello Labs. "We’ve set the path to automation and standardization in the industry. It is only a matter of time before the convenience, speed, and efficiency of Praman set the path for the future of digital agri-trade." As an example, size, colour, and defects are a few primary quality criteria considered during cardamom grading. The subjectivity of manual grading causes drastic fluctuation in pricing decisions during auctions. Intello Labs’ quality assaying technology brings over 95% accuracy to cardamom quality grading as opposed to about 70% using manual methods. This objectivity and precision make fairer pricing and true price discovery possible for both the grower as well as the trader, an unprecedented benefit. "I can see what grade my produce is and see the bidding live. Now I can also withdraw my produce from the auction and put it for re-auction if I am unhappy with the auction prices as compared to my quality and the rest of the growers' quality. This is brilliant," - Vasu, a cardamom grower from Theni, TN. Agricultural trade is shifting from physical to digital, and Praman is accelerating this digitization. Praman is rapidly growing for all commodities and expects to hit a Monthly Gross Transaction Value of USD 100 million within the next two quarters, which will make it the largest agri-trade exchange in India. About Intello Labs Intello Labs is a global, AI-powered quality-assaying agritech startup. With a presence in India, the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Intello Labs utilizes computer vision, machine learning, and AI to digitize food quality assessment and control. - The IPL 2021 - Season Shined with Valid Reason
The IPL 2021 has concluded after a lot of hardships and breaks. Normally a timeout in the IPL is for 150 seconds, however, this one lasted for 140 days. But it was worth the effort. The only season which happened in two instalments was eventually clinched for the 4th time by the Chennai Super Kings. Author:- Ashwin Jangam (Cricket Analyst, host, poet, entertainer) Insta I'd:- cricket_creativity The first leg of IPL 2021 had RCB, CSK and DC in the hunt for the top 3. While the other teams were not in the top 3, they were contributing with the young Indian talent to look forward to the future. The first season had amazing matches, most of which were low scoring. But one match to remember was between CSK and MI, which was high-scoring as well as breathtaking. The 5 times champion won the match, chasing 222 with the big Man Pollard sending ball and the confidence of bowlers outside the park. The big break due to COVID halted the season but gave India new debutants. The likes of Sakariya, Gaikwad, Paddikal, Nitish Rana, Chakraborty, Rahul Chahar , K Gowtham made their debut in the Sri Lanka series in July owing to their performance in the first leg of IPL. The second leg started with CSK beating MI. It followed a lot of interesting matches and was also an emotional one for the fans as it was the last season of king Virat as a captain. While the top three teams in the first leg kept dominating the tournament, there was a mystery to follow for KKR. In a tale of resurrection, KKR, who had won only 2 matches in the first leg, won six matches in the second leg to qualify for the playoffs. While Sunrisers Hyderabad was already out of the tournament, the other 4 teams viz, PBKS, MI, RR, KKR were fighting hard for the playoffs. Out of the four, RR was inconsistent with their performance, PBKS heavily depended on their skipper Rahul, MI was consistently playing bad cricket and KKR was playing as a proper team unit moving forward. Competition became exciting in the last 4 days for the 4 th contender of the playoffs. It was in these matches, the last two of MI when the 5 times trophy winners played like a champion when it seemed almost impossible to make them to the playoffs. A victory in their penultimate game with 70 balls to spare against RR, kept their hoper alive, throwing RR and PBKS out of the hunt for playoffs. Then it was KKR who won the match against RR with a huge margin to almost secure their place. In the last game, MI amassed a total of 235 runs , winning the match, but failing to qualify thereby confirming the place of KKR in the playoffs. The playoffs were nail-biting as CSK won the match against DC in the last over. KKR defeated RCB in the eliminator and, then DC in the second qualifier for the final. In the final, however, the experienced team CSK won the game against KKR comfortably, lifting the title for the 4th time. This season of IPL was special for several reasons. But the most impressive thing about this IPL was the dominant performance of the Indian youngsters. The orange cap holder Ruturaj Gaikwad, who recovered from COVID before the first leg was outstanding in the season. Also the purple cap holder, Harshal Patel was a man to watch out for this season. Along with these youngsters, a flurry of youngsters, witl the likes of Venkatesh Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Avesh Khan, Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Shahrukh Khan and many others along with the debutants in India Sri Lanka series for India, impressed everyone with their scintillating performances. In a nutshell, I would say, this IPL was true "Indian" Premier League dominated by the young Indian cricketers, who are stars of the future. Let's hope we see the same in the upcoming season of IPL. This is all we have for this season. Congratulations to the winners, Chennai Super Kings. Thanks for your response to these columns. We will bring such coverage for the next edition as well but there is a lot that is going to happen before that. As we are excited about the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. So, see you there.

When I became a lawyer, I didn’t really know whether I wanted to be a business transaction lawyer or serve as a litigator. I believe in creating streamlined services. For the most part, the clients will have very specific problems, so my focus is to provide that one solution that is specific to those problems. Many times, lawyers will have several practice areas targeting to capture everyone with an aim to drive the revenue. Streamlining helps you make your service more efficient. Every great company has one thing that they're best at like Nike is good at shoes. At the beginning of my career, I tried to be broad, working on contingency and working on cases that weren't really effective. Saying No is sometimes more important than saying Yes. I am not saying that you shouldn't explore new things but what I mean to say is that try new things under the umbrella of your limited practice area. Let's talk about branding and the marketing process. It has to be focused. Aiming at growing your business and your demonstration to be able to generate revenue through your services is really imperative. Like for me as a lawyer, I categorize my work into the following parts - 1) Problems - what are the problems we are talking about? 2) Benefits - Benefits of my services. 3) Results - what are the results of applying for the benefits? It's about putting your Client first. I have expertise in solving your problem and I am your go-to guy. Essentially you have to be the Gandalf to Frodo, Obi-Wan to Luke Skywalker, you're the movie writer to the hero. You have to strengthen your skills and focus your strength and ideas to help solve your Client's problems. I am really passionate when it comes to my work, I feel very blessed to be a lawyer; control my destiny. The constraint doesn't really apply. Think outside the box. It's very important to know whom you're serving and how to solve the problems. I believe in solving problems rather than just being a business lawyer. For me, there are important components - clients and their trust. The first part is easy but the second part i.e. Faith is by far the trickiest part. For gaining faith, show proof of your work. Testimonials of your previous clients, your work is all that matters. Show proof of your work again and again. That's gonna build your reputation amongst your Client. Try getting micro-commitments. Micro commitment is an easier task than getting your Client to write long feedback about you. I am talking about the traditional approach, I am talking about onboarding newer clients and serving them with better, more streamlined services. It doesn't have to be transactional in particular, it can be applied to any kind of service. - TRANSFER WINDOW 2021- THE MOST SHOCKING ONE? By Swapnil Valvi
The 2021 summer transfer window of football has seen some unexpected moves that nobody thought of will happen. Some pundits are saying this is the most shocking transfer window in football History since some big names are involved in the business. Let's have a look at some big deals that happened this summer. Article Courtesy: Swapnil Valvi Lionel Messi Paris Sain-Germain has bolstered their squad with the most powerful trump card in the football world. Nobody was expecting the move of Lionel Messi will come into the picture since the Argentine was so loyal to Barcelona that he was ready to take a pay cut of 50% than his actual salary. This was confusing for football fans because Barcelona was ready to announce Messi till 2026 with only 2 years of salary for 5 years, but on the afternoon of the day of the announcement the statement of La Liga arrived and the deal collapsed. According to regulations of La Liga, “Barcelona was 1.5 million US dollars in debt and it will never happen that a player is paid 2 years’ salary for 5 years. That can not be called sporting income. The salary fund should not exceed 70% of the club’s total income.” According to this regulation, Barcelona can only invest 25% of the fund in the transfer market and renewing the player contracts. La Liga cleared Barcelona that they can not proceed with Messi registered in their squad. Paris Saint-Germain grabbed the opportunity and within two days they made their move. The race was between Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain for Messi but since Manchester City had already spent big money on only one player so they stepped back. Messi will receive a huge bonus according to clause if Paris Saint-Germain wins the UEFA Champions League this season. Sergio Ramos Last year Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the owner of Paris Saint-Germain committed through Twitter that if Paris Saint-Germain manages to reach to UEFA Champions League final, he’ll sign both captains of Real Madrid and Barcelona. Paris Saint-Germain didn’t manage to secure their place in the final but Nasser did sign Messi-the captain of Barcelona, but before that he signed Sergio Ramos-the captain of Real Madrid. Ramos had an excellent career with Real Madrid for 16 years with 22 trophies including 5 league titles and 4 Champions League titles Ramos left Real Madrid as a club Legend. Real Madrid was wanted to offer one year contract with a 10% of pay cut whereas Ramos agreeing on the pay cut but wanted the contract for two years. The negotiation didn’t go well as Ramos was taking more time negotiating. It will be interesting to watch him teaming up with his arch-rival Lionel Messi. Romelu Lukaku Inter Milan was denying every possibility about Lukaku leaving the club but in the end, Chelsea managed to get their player back into the Premier League. The reunion of Lukaku and Chelsea is interesting because Chelsea was missing the target man for upfront in the Line-up and now they have got probably the best Target Man in the World. The deal settled with 115 million euros which makes Lukaku the second most expensive signing of the summer transfer window 2021. The Seria A winner will try to continue his form and goal-scoring ability in the Premier League and if he does, Chelsea will be unstoppable and with absolute certainty the strongest title contenders. Cristiano Ronaldo “Close your eyes, and he never went away!” these were the words of commentator Peter Drury when Cristiano Ronaldo scored his comeback debut goal against Newcastle. Yes, Romelu Lukaku isn’t the only one who is reuniting with his old club in the Premier League. The streets of Manchester went crazy with the celebration of Manchester United fans as Manchester United announced the return of Cristiano Ronaldo. Another forward from Seria A is also the top scorer with 28 goals and will definitely light up Manchester according to experts. Ronaldo Returns to united with a relatively cheap price tag of 15 million Euros but he will try to end the season with some silverware. Jack Grealish After playing the almost entire season without no. 9, Everyone was expecting that Pep Guardiola will go for a strong striker in this transfer window. Jack Grealish was never off the target for City but they were prioritizing Harry Kane for the no. 9 position. As soon as Harry Kane’s deal collapsed Manchester City’s potential targets were Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo cleared his intention that if he comes to Premier League, he’ll only join Manchester United. On the other side, Bayern had no intention to let go of Robert Lewandowski. Lionel Messi was an option since Guardiola admires the Argentine and he was ready to reunite with Messi, but the transfer talks were going at the time when Barcelona was confident about they’ll keep Messi. Manchester City finally made their move for Jack Grealish after they failed to sign a striker for the club. Jack Grealish is the most expensive player of the summer 2021 transfer window. Total 117 million Euros paid by Manchester City for the Englishman and former Aston Villa’s versatile midfielder. It is obvious that he’ll strengthen the Manchester City side but according to some pundits, it was unnecessary spending since Manchester City already have talented wingers like Sterling, Mahrez, and young Phil Foden. - THE PRIDE AND SORROW OF CHESS -Paul Morphy
It’s very odd when you hear sorrow and pride in the same sentence. But when it came to discussing Paul Morphy, it is very justified. Paul Morphy is the first star of the chess world. He was very talented in the rapid build-up. He was the greatest chess player of his era with an unofficially second chess world champion’s crown on his head. Well, this is the part of ‘Pride’. He retired too early in his young age and his chess career was disrupted by the American Civil War in 1861. Let’s see his journey. Paul Morphy was born on June 22, 1837, and he was an American chess player considered to have been the greatest chess master of his era and an unofficial world chess champion. He was the chess prodigy. Morphy was born in New Orleans Louisiana to a wealthy and distinguished family. He learned to play chess by simply watching games between his father and uncle. His family soon recognized the boy's talent and encouraged him to play at family gatherings and by the age of nine, he was one of the best players in New Orleans. At just 12 years of age, Morphy defeated the visiting Hungarian master Johann Löwenthal's in a match of three games. Morphy’s family invited Löwenthal to their home to play a match with young Paul Morphy. In the First game, Morphy has shown a wonderful game against Löwenthal’s modern Petrov Defence. Morphy sacrificed two pieces for a Rook and was shown the best Rook-Pawn endgame and won the game in 55 moves. Löwenthal was surprised by the 12-year-old Morphy’s moves. Morphy has again shown his skills and techniques against Löwenthal’s Sicilian Defence and immortal Dark Square Bishop. The third game’s records weren’t saved but this match was enough to know Morphy was a Chess Prodigy. The inaugural Chess Congress was held in New York when Morphy was only 19 years old. At the time it was the strongest chess tournament in American history. The inaugural chess congress tournament took place on Broadway in New York City. Among those competing was the American chess champion Charles Henry Stanley, New York state champion Samuel Calthorpe, New York chess club champion Napoleon Marache and the German chess master Louis Paulsen. Morphy successfully moved through the first three rounds achieving a combined score of nine wins, no losses, and one draw. In those wins, the first game against master James Thompson was ended in just fifteen minutes. He defeated Alexander Meek in the second round. The semi-final was quite a show for chess fans. Theodore Lichetenhcin was the first player who made Morphy draw a game. The final round of the tournament was played between Morphy and Paulsen. Despite playing well in the first game Morphy suffered in the next two games. One of those final games lasted hours reportedly because Paulsen moved so slowly. Morphy’s unbeaten tag got vanished in the third game. By accepting the first defeat of his career, Morphy dominated Paulsen winning five games, and achieving a draw for the two games. Morphy travelled to London in 1858 intending to play Staunton. Howard Staunton was one of the Brilliant Chess players in Europe. Staunton agreed to the match and published the terms in the London Illustrated news. Morphy stayed at Staunton’s house. Staunton invited two of his friends who were legendary chess masters, Samuel Boden, and Mra Barnes. If you are a chess player you might be familiar with Boden’s mate, which was assembled by Samuel Boden with two bishops where one bishop slicing the one way and the other delivers checkmate. So, people had expectations from Samuel Boden to have the upper hand against Morphy; but the real challenge was given by MrMr Barnes. He was too aggressive player and he was the one who gave a real challenge to Morphy in Morphy’s entire chess career. Despite suffering against Mr. Barnes, he managed to defeat him and he demolished Samuel Boden. At Queens College in Birmingham England, Morphy played eight chess masters at the same time. They were led by Lord Littleton, President of the British Chess Association. Morphy won six games, lost only once, and tied another. The achievement understandably shocked the British chess world. After that Morphy sailed to France. While there he gave an eight boards blind simultaneous exhibition against members of the chess venue Café de la Régence, sitting alone for ten hours. He scored six wins, no losses, and two draws. He eventually won a repeatedly delayed match against the Café de la Régence champion Daniel Harrwitz. Morphy was a guest of Paris and accepted an invitation from the King and Queen of France, Emperor Napoleon the third, and Empress Eugenie. In Paris, Morphy suffered from a bout of gastroenteritis. Under the medical wisdom of the time, he was treated with leeches, resulting in his losing a significant amount of blood. Although too weak to stand up unaided, Morphy insisted on going ahead with a match against the visiting German master Adolf Anderssen, considered by many to be Europe's leading player. At that time Morphy was still aged 21. Despite his illness, Morphy triumphed easily, winning seven while losing two, with two draws. When asked about his defeat, Anderssen claimed to be out of practice but also admitted that Morphy was, in any event, the stronger player and that he was fairly beaten. Anderssen also attested that in his opinion, Morphy was the strongest player ever to play the game, even stronger than the famous French champion La Bourdonnais. Morphy was already considered the strongest player in the world and Staunton was accused of being a coward. Morphy played with the utmost honour, he never dodged a game, not even when sick, and never made any excuses. He was also known for his ability to adapt. He always treated his opponents with proper respect regardless of their disposition towards him. Morphy played anyone under any conditions. In matches, he accepted every term or demand from his opponents and made no demands in return, except one universal request, that the match is played for honour rather than stakes, a request to which only Anderssen agreed. Even playing blindfold against multiple opponents, Morphy always tried to obtain the strongest opponents. He seems to have more to prove to himself than to the rest of the world. In Europe, Morphy was generally hailed as a world chess champion. In Paris, at a banquet held in his honour on April 4, 1859, a laurel wreath was placed over the head of a bust of Morphy, carved by the sculptor Eugène-Louis Lequesne. Morphy was declared by the assembly "The best chess player that ever lived." At a similar gathering in London, where he returned in the spring of 1859, Morphy was again proclaimed "Champion of the World” in the presence of Queen Victoria. After returning home in late 1859, Morphy retired from an active chess competition. He joined Law office to work but was unable to successfully build a law practice. Despite his retirement from chess in 1859, Morphy was still generally considered world champion until Steinitz was awarded that honour after his victory at the 1873 Vienna Chess Tournament. Morphy lapsed into a state of delusion and paranoia, he believed that he was being persecuted by his brother-in-law. His best friend Charles Maurian noted in many letters that Morphy was “Deranged” and “Not right mentally”. In 1882, his mother, brother, and a friend tried to admit him to a Catholic Sanatorium, but Morphy was so well able to argue for his rights and sanity that they sent him away. On the afternoon of July 10, 1884, Morphy was found dead in his bathtub in New Orleans at the age of 47. According to the autopsy, Morphy had suffered a stroke brought on by entering cold water after a long walk in the midday heat. It's pointless to argue who was the greatest chess player of all time. In Morphy's case, it's sufficient to say that during his brief chess career he attempted to meet the greatest players available, and those he did meet; he beat on their own terms without so much as a close match. Morphy's legacy to the game of chess was extraordinary. Chess master Adolf Anderssen said, “I consider Mr Morphy the finest chess player who ever existed.” Emanuel Lasker is quoted as saying no one ever was so far superior to the players of his time. The first United States Champion Charles Henry Stanley named his daughter ‘Pauline’ in honour of Paul Morphy. And the great chess champion Bobby Fischer is reported to have said the following of Morphy perhaps the most accurate chess player who ever lived. The sorrow of chess history will always be that Paul Morphy ended his career so early despite having one of the greatest chess minds of all time. - When Gagan Arora suffered an ankle injury days before Tabbar’s shooting leaving him anxious
Gagan Arora became a household name and a youth icon with his hilarious portrayal of Bagga in the web show College Romance. His comic timing combined with his histrionics and good looks bowled the audience over and he became an internet sensation. He followed that success with stints in other successful web shows like Girls Hostel and gained unanimous praise. Majorly known for his comic skills, Gagan is all set to break that mould with his portrayal in Sony Liv’s family thrillerTabbar. But did you know that the actor suffered a mishap just a few days before the start of the show’s shoot that left him doubting his association with the show anymore? Well, Gagan opens up about it going down memory lane. With just six days left for Tabbar to go on the floors, Gagan suffered a ligament tear in his ankle while shooting. But rather than the pain, it was his future with the project that worried him the most as he thought it has now been put in jeopardy. “I’ve had sports injuries before but this was particularly excruciating. But despite the blinding pain, the very first thought that came to my mind was that I had lost this project. The project that was going to help me break the mould I had been put in,” he recalls. However, Gagan decided to leave everything to the makers and just come clean. “I gathered some courage, picked up the phone and called the director. I came clean about the injury and told him that I would totally understand if they decided to recast me. He just asked me for a couple of hours to get back,” he shares. And those two hours of waiting proved one of the longest in Gagan’s life. “For those two hours I was so stressed and angry at myself that I couldn't think of anything else,” he says, adding that finally the call came and all his anxiousness was put to rest by his director. “He told me that they would incorporate the limp into the character and the whole script. The words ‘gratitude’ and ‘joy’ don’t really encompass the feelings that I felt then. I was over the moon, that my director had such confidence in me,” he gushes. That boost by his director actually enhanced Gagan’s skill and confidence. “Although I was in a lot of pain but his confidence in me really helped and gave me the energy to shoot every day. Thankfully, in retrospect, I think the limp really added to the vulnerability of the character and was a blessing in disguise,” he signs off on a hopeful note.

- 90° SOUTH - QUEST FOR THE POLE - as a tribute to the 120-years journey of Royal Enfield
● 90° South - A first-of-its-kind motorcycle expedition that will attempt to reach the South Pole | Expedition being undertaken as a tribute to the 120-years journey of Royal Enfield ● Two Royal Enfield riders will undertake a 39-day expedition traversing Antarctica on a 770 km ride from Ross Ice Shelf to the South Pole, on expedition-ready Royal Enfield Himalayans ● Expedition to commence on November 26th, 2021 Royal Enfield is the world’s oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production since 1901. For 120 years, Royal Enfield has remained the preserver of the legacy of building simple, pared-down, authentic classic motorcycles that are engaging and fun to ride. Riding through time and tough terrain, Royal Enfield has emerged victorious in rides that have tested the endurance of man and machine, while remaining relevant and desirable through the ages. From its humble beginnings at the Redditch factory, Royal Enfield has spent more than a century creating memorable experiences and legendary motorcycling tales. In its journey to encourage and kickstart the lifelong pursuit of exploration, Royal Enfield has conducted rides across the globe- ranging from riding on the highest motorable pass in the world to reaching the Base Camp of Mount Everest in Tibet; from riding over the most inaccessible mountain pass at Daulat Beg Oldi, Karakoram, to riding across the desert at Kutch under picturesque night skies. Continuing on this journey and to commemorate 120 years of building the pure motorcycling culture, Royal Enfield will mark 2021 with an ambitious attempt to push the boundaries of motorcycling possibilities. The company will undertake a motorcycling expedition on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, to attempt to reach the geographic South Pole, from the Ross Ice Shelf via the Leverett Glacier. 90° SOUTH - Quest for the Pole is conceptualized as a tribute to the brand’s commitment to pure motorcycling, and to the courage and resilience of innumerable riders and explorers who have made history with their motorcycling journeys. Speaking about the milestone year for Royal Enfield and the expedition attempt, Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director of Eicher Motors Ltd, said, “120 years is a long legacy for the brand, and we are very happy to have made it count. Over these years, we have created and nurtured a thriving culture of riding and exploration around the world. This pursuit of exploration has been a quintessential part of our DNA, and 90° South is another chapter in our series of extraordinary, epic motorcycling rides. In the past, rides like the Himalayan Odyssey have paved the way for motorcycling adventure in the Himalayas and an epic expedition like this to the South Pole will further inspire people to become adventurers again. A test of endurance and perseverance for man and machine, this expedition is the first of its kind attempt to traverse the 770km long route to the South Pole on a motorcycle.” Conceptualized as a tribute to 120 years of pure motorcycling, and as an ode to all Enfielders who’ve dared to explore beyond the ordinary, 90° South will be an ambitious attempt to go where no motorcycle has gone before. To begin from Cape Town, South Africa, on 26 November 2021, the expedition will witness two Royal Enfield riders - Santhosh Vijay Kumar, Lead - Rides & Community, Royal Enfield, and Dean Coxson, Senior Engineer- Product Development, Royal Enfield- attempting to reach the geographic South Pole, from the Ross Ice Shelf, via the Leverett Glacier, to the Amundsen-Scott Pole station. Speaking about the brand’s purpose of encouraging explorations, and wishing the expedition great success, B Govindarajan, Executive Director, Royal Enfield remarked, “It has been an unbroken legacy of 120 years, of fueling and pushing the boundaries of human exploration, and being an ally to many explorers. It is their journeys and adventures that have inspired us to attempt this first of its kind motorcycle expedition. This bold and ambitious attempt to ride to the very end of the earth summarizes the resilience of the human spirit, and we hope to complete it successfully as an ode to all Royal Enfield riders and their own inspiring expeditions.” To be conducted in close partnership with Arctic Trucks, 90° South will be attempted on two, purpose-built Royal Enfield Himalayans. Arctic Trucks, a member of the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators, are renowned for their deep expertise in the field and have covered over 3,50,000 km on the Antarctic Plateau. They have supported and serviced several scientific expeditions and activities, as well as commercial and NGO expeditions in the past. Launched in 2016, the Royal Enfield Himalayan is a simple, extremely capable, and go-anywhere motorcycle. Inspired from the experience of decades of riding in the Himalayas, and traversing thousands of kilometres of challenging terrain, the Royal Enfield Himalayan was built to be a versatile motorcycle that is capable on the road, as well as off the beaten track. The Himalayan has been a trusted ally for many adventure seekers across the world. For this expedition, two Himalayans have been modified in-house, with functional upgrades to be able to navigate snow and ice to ably function under extreme conditions in Antarctica. The Himalayan was tested for this arduous and treacherous journey at the Langjokull glacier in Iceland, with an intention to mirror the conditions in Antarctica. Phase 1 of testing was held in September 2020 while phase 2 of testing concluded in July 2021 Given that the Himlayan in itself is a complete and proficient machine, minimal changes have been made to the motorcycle to make it ready for the terrain and weather conditions in Antarctica. For greater torque at the rear wheel, the main drive sprocket has been changed from a 15-teeth to a 13-teeth unit. There is a tubeless wheel setup with studded tyres that allows the tyres to run at very low pressures, and to increase floatation on soft snow, while also providing adequate traction on hard ice. The team has introduced a stronger alternator using rare earth magnets, so as to enable the motorcycle to produce more current and enable the team to run heated gear off the battery. The motorcycles will be ridden on a compacted snow track from the Ross Ice Shelf to the South Pole, to reduce motorcycle drag and limit emissions to an absolute minimum. Royal Enfield is consciously ensuring no footprint is left behind by the expedition team except wheel tracks that will quickly be lost to snowdrift. In line with our #LeaveEveryPlaceBetter initiative, the team will ensure all waste including human waste is brought back for appropriate disposal. There are numerous reasons why people love to watch the game. Some love it for its class, some for its patience over a longer time, some for the unpredictability, or some for the shorter formats of the game. But when it comes to all the cricket fans, watching the batters hit long sixes has always been a constant liking for all the fans of the game. Hard-hitters make the game interesting and are therefore loved by many. When we think of hard hitters in women's cricket, the first name which comes to our mind is our captain, Harmanpreet Kaur. The power hitting range and abilities of this daughter of India loved by all the fans across the world. Her towering sixes demonstrate the strength she possesses and also gives a glimpse of the confidence oozing from her. Her acceleration in the crunch times has led to our team's victory on numerous occasions. The strong arms of Harman are lethal to destroy any bowling attack in this world. However, it was not the case in her childhood. The queen of hard-hitting hailing from Moga was a skinny girl with immense talent. Although she had the sweet timing while batting, but her power was a little low. It was her coach, who then decided to work on her arm strength, which would eventually result in increasing the strength so much to weigh the expectations of a billion people. As a kid, Harman used to play street cricket with the boys. Her father was also an aspiring cricketer who left his dream midway due to responsibilities. But his daughter was ready to fulfil her father's incomplete dream. Naturally, her father was her first coach. To hone her skills further, she enrolled on further training. It was only a matter of time before the girl started to make headlines. Her performance offered her a place in Punjab Women's team in domestic cricket. She immensely contributed to the Punjab team, both with the bat and with the ball. Her consistency yielded the result, as she made her debut in 2009 against arch-rivals Pakistan. Coming as an all-rounder in the side, she continued to step up to the responsibilities of the team. Seeing her dedication, in the 2012 Asian Games final, she was named as the captain due to the absence of Mithali and Jhulan because of injuries. Being her first match as a captain, she successfully defended a mere 81 runs while Pakistan women were bundled on 63 runs, thereby India winning the Asia cup. Indians were excited to see the shades of a true leader in her. Like in her batting, she also hit towering sixes in her captaincy. Courtesy: ESPN CRIC INFO A very aggressive batter, Harman is known for her power hitting and taking her team forward. Her innings of 171 off 115 balls in the semi-final of the 2017 World cup against the mighty Aussies is one of the best innings in the history of the game till now. She dismantled the Aussie attack tearing them into pieces, single-handedly winning the game for Women in Blue. It is the highest individual score by an Indian batswoman in world cups and is also the highest in women's cricket knockout matches of the world cups. In the next year, she played a knock of 103 off just 51 deliveries, becoming the first Indian to hit a century in T20 international. She hit 8 towering sixes and 7 elegant fours in this innings. Another memorable inning from her came when she won the world cup qualifier against Sout Africa hitting a six on the last ball when four were required. Knowing her aggression, she was signed by Sydney Thunder in the 2016 Women's Big Bash League. She became the first Indian player, male or female, to participate in any foreign league. In the later years, she also represented Melbourne Renegades. She also led the Supernovas IPL team in the Women's T20 Challenge. She was a part of Manchester Originals in the inaugural edition of "The Hundred" played in England. In all the leagues she played, she made sure her name was uttered with high respect due to her performance. Currently, the leader of Women in Blue in T20s continues to serve the Indian Cricket Team. Having numerous records of her name, she continues to strive for better. And in the process, she continues millions of women to actively take up the sport and look forward to it as a career. Her illustrious 12 years in Indian cricket have significantly changed the way the game for women's have evolved, and have changed the perspective of the audience looking forward to the game. In the future years she plays for India, one can just imagine the influence this girl from Moga would have on world cricket. On the holy day of Vijayadashmi, we pray that she continues to emerge victorious leading the Women in Blue everywhere she goes. दुनिया वालो करो गौर, लगालो कितना भी जोर, मॅच जायेगा भारत की ही ओर, क्योंकि भारत से खेलती है हरमनप्रीत कौर I
