Can an ethic violation derail your business? In simple words, an ethics violation would kill your business. It doesn't matter how big your team is if you start violating the ethics. Once exposed, the whole thing falls apart like a house of cards. I was once exposed to a multi-level business wherein the parent company pointed out how the subsidiary business was not set up properly. Shockingly, the billing was really affected. Any public record of disrepute affects your business tremendously. Obviously, more major violations may even lead to getting you disbarred from legal practice vis-à-vis when you miss a commitment deadline, fail to perform competently, abandon a client, etc. but it all leads to a slap on the wrist. For me, it really doesn't matter which rule got violated but anything that affects the business is a red flag that goes up. Nobody wants to see that in a lawyer they have hired. This may even lead to a big consequence. But, what happens when you're disciplined. Clients see that and even the court does. Now, is it even feasible to be a purely ethical attorney? Can you follow every rule? Yes, definitely. Sometimes that may be a nuisance at the moment but it is always good for the business. Clients also appreciate it when you are careful. It is good to be known as someone who sticks up for following all rules. You may ask, what are the action items as a newbie? Ethics is imperative for continuing the business of lawyering. The first step is to know your jurisdiction and laws. Secondly, follow legal updates on social media. It is not possible to keep a tab on every law, so the easier way is to read the news snippets and legal updates regularly. I have graduated from my class in 2013 and I started out my career with civil & criminal litigation. Looking back, I wasn't really at a Fred Flintstone law firm but I was still not using social media for marketing my services. I am not saying that I moved to George J. Jetson ecosystem but when I switched my practice area from civil & criminal to corporate laws there, I could sense that social media was a great tool for marketing legal services. One of my friends recently asked me if it's okay for lawyers to use Instagram, I couldn't help but wonder what's wrong with being your real self? Personally, I am on my phone a lot like most millennials are but I do strategic scrolling. In this sense, when I look at the content and think if I can create something using either the music element or the concept. So I shoot my videos also strategically. So from 1k followers in 2020, I gained a following of 30k plus on Instagram and honestly what I noticed was one can use the platform effectively to build up their brand and name. It's imperative to get your posts re-blasted e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram & Facebook. Let me break down the tips on how to do this: 1) Instagram typically has a 1-minute link for the posts and the reels are also 1 minute, IGTV is longer but stories are only for 15 secs. When it comes to Instagram create strategic contents to catch the audience's attention. Most of my social media presence is on Instagram. I highly recommend using Instagram if you want to market your services more effectively. According to Instagram Business, its platform has over 1 billion users who are active each month. Crazy. IKR. Might as well make use of the platform to gain the audience's reach. People appreciate honesty and being the real you makes you "Human", why shy away from that? After all, who wants a bot to handle their legal cases? 2) Now you may ask why would someone go on Instagram to look for a lawyer? To be honest, social media is not the place where people usually go for looking for a lawyer but if you are constantly showing up in someone's feed, whether it's Instagram or LinkedIn you're always top of the mind meaning they might not need the lawyer now but when they do, yours will be the first name that comes to their mind. Ajinkya Rahane has been an integral part of the Indian cricket team for a decade. He has contributed immensely to Men in Blue time and again. He is a great player in swinging balls as well as the spinning ball. His supreme technique, blended with a calm head has helped him notch a hundred in all the SENA countries. He is a leader, a calm headed leader. The literal meaning of "Ajinkya Rahane" in his mother tongue Marathi is "to remain undefeated". Proving his name right, he is yet to be defeated as a captain in Tests. He is one of the only 4 captains for Men in Blue to lead the team in all formats. He enjoys a 100% victory record in ODI as a captain. Furthermore, he has a fabulous captaincy record in Tests. However, despite all this, he is often criticised for his captaincy by few cricket experts and a ton of trollers who hardly follow the game. Rahane captained the Indian test side time for the first time in 2017 against Australia in Dharamshala when Virat was out due to injury. He played crucial knocks and made his debut captaincy special by a victory. A year later, he was named captain for the only test to be played between India and Afghanistan, who were playing their maiden test match, which India comfortably won in 3 days. However, the gesture of Ajinkya won many hearts, as he called the losing team Afghanistan for a photograph with the Indian side as winners of the series. One might argue the advantage of playing in India was the reason for these wins, but not too long ago, he scripted history in Gabba in January 2021. India suffered a humiliating loss after being bowled out for a mere 36 in the second innings of the Adelaide test match, the only match with Virat playing in the side. The cricketing world bashed Men in Blue and few went on to say that Australia would whitewash India. However, Rahane had different plans. In absence of Virat, the jinx took the challenge and led from the front in Melbourne, scoring a magnificent century. His captain innings helped India strongly bounce back in the series with a win. Under his leadership, India went on to pull an unbelievable draw in Sydney in the 3rd test, followed by a historic win in Gabba, breaching the Aussie fortress for the first time in 32 years. It was Rahane's captaincy, which helped the Men in Blue win against the mighty Aussies, with almost 8 of their main players injured and replaced by the youngsters. After almost a year, when he got a chance to lead, he did everything possible for India to win against the Kiwis. Some cricket pundits argued and criticised Rahane for not declaring early. But it was essential for India to bat longer as the same cricket pundits would have criticised him again if early declaration would have gone in the favour of the Black Caps leading to their victory. Also, the cricket pundits are not greater than the coach of the Indian team, Rahul Dravid, the man who had his support for Rahane's decision. There is no denying fact that Jinks is not performing to his full potential when it comes to his batting. But in almost every match, he has done his part by contributing 30-40 odd runs for the team. His contribution to the WTC final was a useful one. In the Lord's victory too, he, along with Pujara established the foundation of Indian batting, which Bumrah and Shami used as a launchpad to attack English bowlers. He threw away the starts which he could have converted into a big hundred, but what mattered was his contribution, which he did. As a batsman who can play swing well, he would have been a boon for India in the T20 world cup 2021, 2019 world cup too. But unfortunately, either due to politics or due to numerous other players coming in the side, everyone has ignored Ajinkya's strike rate and effectiveness in T20's as well as ODI's, allowing him only to play red-ball cricket and calling him a test specialist. And now, people are challenging him as a captain and as a batsman too, without realising the statistics. Ajinkya has won 4 out of 6 matches he played as a captain. The other 2 matches resulted in a draw. He is yet to be defeated in test matches when he led the team. Out of the 6, 4 were played against Australia, and 1 against New Zealand and Afghanistan each. His field placements and rotation of bowlers is great. His calm head assists his decision making in crucial times. Often, his colleagues have termed him a captain under whom they can perform well. And now he was assisted by the man who he adores the most, Rahul Dravid. Although the next match would be led by Virat, Rahane will be playing an important part in it. His contributions in the past have helped the team and would help them in the matches to come. With the performance of Shreyas Iyer, pundits will try to snub Jinks. However, in my opinion, there can be no replacement for Ajinkya Rahane. He is a player who has won India matches and will do it even further. No one knows who will be in the playing eleven for the second test match, but one can only hope for Rahane to be a part of it. Whether he will be there, or not, as a leader, Ajinkya Rahane will be a name that will be termed as unbeaten, just like his name. I have worked as Trainer in Edmodo with teachers of many schools in Tirana. It was again a very wonderful experience. Another beautiful experience that I had was working with etwinning projects that were a collaborative platform in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Albania and with some other Ministries in Europe. Students in pace have done a lot of projects specifically with the topics related to pandemics. We have done online meetings through the Zoom platform where we shared our experiences, forum discussions and we have used twin spaces for communication. Friendship and partnership have brought students close to each other and everyone had enjoyed it a lot. Everybody felt so comfortable sharing their opinions and we have got immense success in that collaborative work project which we have finished in time. For the long three years, I have worked as a principal. My school had 970 students (Elementary and Secondary). We have implemented a new methodology in our curriculum. My school was a pilot school in various new approaches. It was a great success. A public school, centre community with great results. Recently I am licensed to work as a principal and I am looking forward to working in one of the schools of Tirana again as a principal. I am an active member in many prestigious platforms in Albania and in other countries especially in India (They are smart people, they love education and technology). I have also received Honourary Doctorate in Humanity by United Nations and a Royal Doctorate in Philosophy from Brazil, and it is a big achievement for me and my efforts towards Global Education. My views about online School… Online school has been a very different experience for all of us, something we had never thought of before. Also, it was very difficult to adapt to, considering the short time we had. At first, we thought it would allow students to have more free time since everything would be done from home, which is also more convenient than attending school physically. I was proved wrong though. Attending online school, especially during the first month, was almost a nightmare for us, chaotic I‘d say. Student’s would often complain about too much homework due to short amounts of time, and it seemed that they had missed the essence of the school itself, the teacher’s explanation, which made it hard for many students to learn efficiently. Some students admitted that they were doing too much work for nothing because the whole system of sending and receiving information to and from the teacher/student’s wasn’t very effective. Even after a couple of months when we finally started to learn how to use this situation for their benefit, they felt like nothing could replace the real classroom, where they could interact with us (teachers) and with each other, even for the smallest things. All the bad things aside, I would also like to highlight that this whole situation was a great experience from which they learned and discovered new things and skills they didn’t know they had. They could stay safe at home, in their pajamas all day, comfortably and work in the peace of their own house, where the pressure of work felt lighter than in school, Ignoring the fact that their amount of work was tripled. After all, most of them feel fulfilled, because they did their best during online school and gave their best in all the work they were assigned worth it or not. Teachers had a very hard time trying to grade them because they could not know for sure whether they were really studying or just getting their work ready-made. All that aside, if they weren’t staring at screens for long enough before, they had to use technology for every process linked with the school. And from time to time they were missing information or just losing their work among the hundreds of unnecessary messages and photos. Except for the stress caused by the clutters of homework, videos, photos they had to catch up with, they weren’t used to staying locked inside, using zoom to talk to the teachers, at different times of the day, which caused a stressful situation of its own. Can you give us a brief about the founders and funding received so far? As we all know, Orphicy is the brainchild of four full-time academicians having a cumulative academic experience of more than 50 years. Ujjwal Nagar (CMO): An engineer by qualification and an academician by choice. He is someone who lives and loves entrepreneurship. He has experience in building an organisation raking in 100 million INR annually in the field of management exams. He leads the Marketing and Branding initiatives at Orphicy. Vipul Tyagi (CEO): He is one of the most prolific CAT faculty across India. In spite, of converting to IIM Calcutta twice he chose to pursue his first love of academics. He has been Inspiring students since 2011 soon after completing his engineering. At Orphicy he handles the Academic design and execution. Mukesh Pareek (COO): An MBA and a qualified Company Secretary who has worked with L’Oreal India. Leaving a high paying job, he chose to pursue his true love of academics. Having an academic experience of more than 9 years he takes care of Operations and content development at Orphicy. Arpit Mehta (Sales & CRM): Although a graphic designer by qualification, he is the engine that fuels sales at Orphicy. Having vast experience in Academic sales and customer acquisition across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Maharashtra he takes care of customer outreach and growth initiatives at Orphicy. The company was started with a seed capital of Rs. 2 Crores invested by the founders in August 2020. We just completed the first round of our funding in October 2021 where we raised Rs. 2.5 crores at a valuation of Rs. 25 Crores. Tell about various educational modules offered by Orphicy and what age group does it cater to? Orphicy Presently has the following paid full Year study programs a) Orphicy Live: A live online coaching program preparing students for their school curriculum. This program includes 10 hours of lectures every week and the weekends are utilised for Assessments and Cocurricular activities. b) Orphicy Aspire (Science): This weekend program prepares students for NTSE, Maths & Science Olympiads etc. c) Orphicy Aspire (Global): This soon to be launched program would focus on a global curriculum and also prepare students for their SATs d) Orphicy Aspire (Public Sector): A unique weekend programme that acts as a foundation course for students for competitive civil services exams (IAS, week-long IPS) at a very young age. Apart from these free programs, Orphicy conducts a host of free skill-based short duration micro-courses like a) Mini MBA for Teens: A week-long program with a rigorous B-Plan competition acting as the finale. b) Fluency: A 21-day program helping students improve their communication skills with a lot of roleplays and other activities c) Super Mom: A week-long program for the mothers helping them make the best use of technology The target group for almost every program are school students in Standards 4-10. How many students have your startup reached out to and how many students do you plan to connect within the next two years? We presently have 150 paid students registered with us for full-year programs and the number of students who have attended our free programs and are a part of the active Orphicy student community is about 8000. We have just begun our operations and we had launched our live batches only in June. We are sure of reaching a minimum of 4000 paid students enrolled for a full year Orphicy Live/ Aspire offering. Share with us recent developments of your startup and what are your plans? Presently we are running a massive free crash course batch to help us achieve our next academic session’s target for enrolments. We are on a team-building spree and have doubled our employee count in the past three months to 42. We are also collaborating with technology companies like Lead Squared and HRIS etc. to automate the operations at Orphicy. We plan to consolidate our presence in the four states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh in the coming academic session. After consolidating our presence in these four states we would like to make our presence in the NCR area. How is your EdTech different from other EdTech players in the market? We believe a lot of distance has been travelled in terms of high-quality animated content however not a lot has been achieved in terms of better learning outcomes. Orphicy would like to change that by a model with a high teacher intervention and regular mentoring. We see ourselves differently because of our focus on a 360-degree learning format wherein equal importance is given to extra-curricular activities and personality development. Ms Shikha Chakravarty began the session by introducing Positive Thoughts Consulting & Training Solutions. After sharing insight on the mission of Positive Thoughts, she introduced multi-award-winning Motivational Speaker, Life Coach and Social Activist - Dr Gaurav Sharma, the Founder & CEO of Positive Thoughts Consulting & Training Solutions & Co-Founder – 28 Credentials of Entrepreneur, Malaysia and added how he was spreading positivity and building a community of like-minded people filled with motivation and satisfaction, inviting Dr Gaurav Sharma to say a few words. Dr Gaurav Sharma welcomed everyone with his high spirit and thanked the trainer of the eve Ms Monica Dhawan for accepting an invitation to educate the community on the vital subject with special gratitude to Ms Shikha Chakravarty for the wonderful start of the session. Shikha added that why do we need to go for a relationship? This is because that we look forward to supporting, sharing our success and failure and having someone with us in the phases of life. Things sail smoothly in the beginning but as we move ahead the changes within us which used to make us happy, now start bringing us pain. The dishonesty and jealousy start appearing and then there is a lack of communication, We don’t want to understand the perspective of the other person and people are not able to continue but due to societal pressure, they forcefully continue to stay together. 1. How this societal taboo is there in society? 2. How are individuals dealing with it? 3. How much is too much to tolerate? 4. Is it necessary to tolerate? With these questions to the participants, she enthusiastically introduced the Trainer of the eve, Ms Monica Dhawan who is a Transformation Coach talking about change at the individual level helping women to become self-empowered to say NO to toxic relations as well as a social level that sensitizes people to understand the need of the current time. Ms Monica Dhawan started with a quote from a poetry Hindi “Pyar Mein Dard Chhupa Hai, Ya Dard me Pyar, Ye to Sirf unhe hi pata hai jo hain iske shikaar” inviting participants to translate into English for the Global community present in the session. The quote was translated in English by Dr Supriya Kumaravelan as “Is the pain hidden in love, or love is hidden in the pain, the person who is the victim of this can only realize”. She continued with the poem and took the audience on the faces of Pain & Love and Dr Supriya translated the entire poem for the community members. Ms Monica Dhawan tossed a question ‘What is Toxic Relationship’ and answered it as an ‘Entanglement’. She further added that “It is a relationship that one logically knows is not healthy but emotionally still crave for it”. The Psychology of Pain and Pleasure is that your heart says to give your partner another chance and a little more time but your mind states not anymore. There is always a push and pull between mind and heart. She stated an example on Toxic Relation with the ‘Fear of abandonment and Fear of Suffocation’ with a story and said that there was a girl who was either extremely happy or extremely disappointed which means that she was overly emotional and can cry for anything and everything. She had fluctuating mood with no regulation, was quick to apologise as well as very reactive and impulsive and accepts blame on herself for everything. She continued that there was also a Boy who was equally opposed to the girl. He felt that he was the ‘Best’ and life of every party he was a part of. He was handsome, a controlled freak and manipulative. But he hardly said ‘Sorry’ and was highly insensitive with no empathy. They both found themselves as a perfect match for each other. As time passed, what the girl liked about him became her fear that he never said ‘Sorry’ for whatever he did, so he may not respect her and leave her. This is Fear of Abandonment which gradually burst up into her heart, took her to the discomfort zone and she was losing her confidence in him. Simultaneously the guy also felt the ‘Fear of Suffocation’ as the questions raised by the girl in simple conversations now were turning repulsive and the boy starts neglecting her. In toxic relations, people tend to do the opposite of what they should have been doing. These are: -Toxic Communication is blaming/bringing shame to a partner and the partner may get violent or stay quiet. -This quietness is known as Silent Treatment, where one does not value his/her partner and remains silent by controlling behaviour. This is the most dangerous tool than violence as when you don’t bring things out and remain silent, you try to stay away as you do not express that you are upset. This control is not acceptance but ignorance of your partner. -When you start ignorance, you have no empathy towards your partner, you go out and freak with others leading to dishonesty and infidelity. This is cheating with Lies and Betrayal. -When one faces confrontation, one tries to manipulate the situation by playing with the mind of your partner and making her believe that whatever she is thinking is not true but you know that it is. This is called Gaslighting Abuse. She gave classic examples from two Bollywood movies Beta & Drishyam. Gaslighting Abuse is when your partner is manipulating and everybody also says so. One partner in this situation creates a space that is very positive for himself/herself and not so positive for the other. Here one is confronted and feels to move out of relation and approaches the expert for advice. She raised the question that why do people stay in Toxic Relationships and answered that most women don’t walk out of such relations because of financial situations, children and lack of emotional confidence. Our society has majorly set standards for women for everything. Another major reason is Childhood Conditioning from the beginning, a girl child is told that you need to adjust and marriage is a compromise etc. We are never told that marriage is a blessing, marriage is love, marriage is beautiful. Especially in India, we are told that marriage is a limited institute where we lose our freedom. We go low due to our family and relatives mostly. Such relations make a strong impact and people tend to break down emotionally as well as feel a loss of dignity. She ended the session by highlighting a disorder impacting self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth, characterised by failure to recover after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD). This is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. It is natural to feel afraid during and after a traumatic situation. Such people may have exaggerated reactions as we do not understand the situation they have gone through. In this, the mind starts expecting negative results with fear triggering many split-second changes in the body to help defend against danger or to avoid it. At last, Dr Supriya Kumaravelan (Co-Chair of Positive Thoughts) gave the vote of thanks to Ms Monica Dhawan for giving her precious time on Thunderbolts. Jyoti Parchani , Prakash Parchani , Diya Parchani Krisha Parchani One thing that was restricting my joy was that both my girls were and are overweight, it’s genetic & I use to be obese earlier but now I have lost 22 kg weight. But when my girls were too young I realised that they are stepping back when it came to participating in any activity or competition nor do they were very keen to socialise I went through the reason behind this passive behaviour and was depressed to hear that in school & tuition they were becoming a victim of body-shaming and were teased as ‘ Moti ‘ haathi ‘ etc but then I gathered my strength and talked to my elder daughter Diya when she was in 7th Std and I kept trying for months to make her understand that you have to show these people that your capabilities are above all the physical judgments it was a tough task but I didn’t give up and as a result, my elder daughter started gaining confidence and showed remarkable performances in different fields. She won medals in cricket and other sports. Her academic result improved seeing her younger daughter also started taking interest in all the activities. My elder daughter in her college enrolled for an international program named Xculture where she had to work as a team with 7 different students from 7 different countries with different languages but she qualified with flying colours. Thousands of students across the globe participated and she was among the first few who succeed and was also approached for coaching other students for the same program which she had joined as a student, this was her biggest achievement and after then she kept moving ahead and followed her my younger daughter, this was the most satisfying thing to me as a mother. Now my elder daughter Diya Parchani is a professional digital marketer and my younger daughter Krisha Parchani is a professional nail artist and is pursuing her BBA first year. I am Jyoti Parchani now enjoying all the love, pamper, and attention from my beautiful Paris they encourage me to participate in different contests put their efforts to make me win those contests. They have motivated me to write this article I feel super blessed to have them both in my life. I urge society, never judge an individual by his or her physical appearance- You never know what they are capable of!

"You must be the change you want to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi For me being a lawyer entails speaking the truth. You cannot sugarcoat the situation, you need to maintain transparency, trust your gut and be a lot more open in your approach towards your Clients. I have learned that broadly three parameters matter to be good at your work: 1) Belief - Belief in yourself. Believe that you can do things that you might not even be aware of. Our beliefs, both conscious and unconscious, can have a profound impact on our entire life trajectory. 2) Intuition - Trusting your intuition means tuning in as deeply as you can to the energy you feel, following that energy moment to moment, trusting that it will lead you where you want to go and bring you everything you desire. 3) Ability - Ability to take action on your intuition - Sometimes we all are so scared of acting on our intuition that we do not act on it. Also, sometimes having that mentor, having that one person who believes in you even when you don't believe in yourself is really important. It's all about being a source of good and positivity in the world. No matter what is it that you're doing, you need to stay grounded and be kind. You may feel small and inconsequential but remember the raindrops creates the ocean and the ocean creates the waves. That's important because there is a lot of darkness out there. Sometimes people ask me why can't just be a lawyer? Why always look to do other things? Now, I do not know the exact reason but my work gives me the language to answer the question about who I am. That's affirming and that encourages me to do things that I do. For me, I always understand things in retrospect but not at the moment. When every dot connects, I feel divinely inspired about sharing my story. Always look back and you would realize how everything comes together. Perhaps you may feel vulnerable sharing about your crisis but when you're engaging with an audience you need to remember that you're not just your success but you're all of your struggles, failures, problems & crisis that comes along your way. The struggles, the challenges, and the failures are truly gifts for me to help me qualify to help others. The rags to riches stories are inspiring but what about the element of struggles? For example, "feeling that you're not good enough" in my case. I want to give voice to those people who feel this way. I think a vast majority of people are living passenger seat life, while life is happening to them. For me, I believe we are the co-creators of our lives, and it's important to get control of your life, that's when things start changing for you. Everyone celebrates their wicket, only a few people can celebrate the success of other people. One such team man who played for Men in Blue celebrated every occasion, be it a wicket taken by his team’s bowler, or a half-century by his colleagues like his own. The electric man, Suresh Raina turns 35 today. The first player to score a hundred in all the formats for India is also one of the finest fielders in the history of Indian cricket. He shifted to Lucknow to hone his skills. His talent was evident right from the beginning, due to which at the mere age of 15, he was selected for the India U-19 team. He got selected in Ranji trophy for Uttar Pradesh soon, and his performance in the domestic circuit earned him the maiden India call-up. Only a few players like MS Dhoni and can bounce back after a horrid debut. Both of them were out on a golden duck on their debut but went on to contribute immensely to Indian cricket. Suresh credits the then skipper Rahul Dravid and Irfan Pathan who motivated him to field better in the second half of the game where he was disappointed with poor batting display. Eventually, he continued the legacy to motivate others in the team time and again. It took 3 years for his maiden ODI century, which he scored in 2008, but the southpaw reached his first 3-digit score right in his debut test in 2010 which happened in Colombo. His contribution to the Chennai franchise has earned him a lot of fans. “Chinna Thala” as he is referred to by the Whistle Podu fans, is a term that shows his popularity and love from the fans. I once witnessed a match live in the stadium where after every ball, the ever-enthusiastic Raina went to pat the back of the fielder who saved the runs. Every Indian loves him, and he loves MS Dhoni from his heart and soul. His love for the legend was visible when he announced immediate retirement from International cricket minutes after Dhoni retired from international cricket on 15th August 2020. Raina’s retirement was a shock to the cricketing world, as he was just 33 years of age when he announced it. He continues to serve Chennai Super Kings and will continue to do so for a few more years to come. His inside out lofted shot over covers is a treat to watch even today. Whenever the name Suresh Raina will pop up in one’s mind, one will remember a calm composed gentleman, a classy batsman, a superb fielder, a constant motivator, a man having almost no haters and the complete team man serving his country to the fullest.
