- Emperor changes, the kingdom remains : beginning of the Rohit-Dravid era
Team India has ended a seven-match losing streak across formats against New Zealand Yesterday Under their New Captain Rohit Sharma and New Head Coach Rahul Dravid "It didn't come as easy as we expected, so great learning for the guys, to understand what needs to be done, not about power-hitting all the time. As a captain and a team, happy that those guys finished the game off. A good game for us, missing a few players, opportunity to other guys to show their ability. At one stage it was looking like 180-plus so a great effort from a complete bowling performance." - Rohit Sharma , Indian Captain after India's Victory over NZ Source of the Statement: ESPN Cric Info The world cup was an emotional one for Indian fans. It was the last occasion of the best batsman in the world Virat Kohli as the captain of the Indian side in the T20's. Furthermore, it was the last appearance of Ravi Shastri as the head coach of the Indian cricket team. The aggressive duo of Men in Blue did wonders to the Indian team, and Indian cricket scaled new heights under their leadership and guidance. Author:- Ashwin Jangam (Cricket Analyst, host, poet, entertainer) Insta I'd:- cricket_creativity Although the only T20 world cup led by Virat didn't go in India's favour, one cannot forget the past achievements of this duo. Winning 32 matches out of 50, and having a win percentage of 64% is a great achievement in the game of cricket. Under his leadership, India registered its first T20 match and series victory against New Zealand. The optimistic and aggressive approach brought to the team by the very passionate Kohli was the primary reason for this success. Leading from the front has been his skill, which has benefitted India a lot. He is the first captain to set fitness standards for Indian cricket. He revived Indian cricket with fit players who have the skill to play excellent cricket. The raised standard of Indian fielding is an outcome of the same. His no-nonsense attitude has forced all the players to follow strict fitness and diet routines if they want to play for the team, thereby proving to be a boon for Men in Blue. He is the first captain who ensured fitness standards and he set the benchmark for upcoming generations to follow. He was often criticized for his approach to go for a win, even if it was seemingly impossible. This happened, particularly in Tests. But despite the criticism he received, he didn't change one bit. And this approach has done India more good than harm. The overseas test wins, the 2 consecutive test series win against Australia in Australia, the win at Lord's and many others are a result of the same approach. Indian fans would have loved to see him lead the team even further, but he decided to give the captaincy to manage the workload and focus on his batting. The king has passed his baton to Hitman, another world-class player playing for Men in Blue. Rohit Sharma has shown his captaincy skills in the IPL, winning 5 titles amongst the 9 seasons he played for the team. His calm head, with aggression in his batting, will be a bonus for India. His teammates have often cited him as a team man, who gives every player his required space thereby giving them a chance to prove and improve. His field placements under pressure and his rotation of bowlers make him a great leader of the team. A T20 centurion, and the ODI highest individual scorer, will be leading the Men in Blue in T20's from today when Men in Blue would look to avenge the Black Caps. It's not just Rohit, who has excited the Indians. It's the new head coach of the team, Rahul Dravid who has pumped the adrenaline of Indians. The technically most sound batsman ever to play the game, the former captain of India, the selfless man who did everything out of his comfort zone for Men in Blue, and truly a legend with zero haters would be the guiding the Men in Blue. The visuals of Dravid in the dressing room would be a treat for Indians. His successful stint as the head of NCA has yielded India a lot of positives. The youngsters groomed under him are the stars of Indian cricket. One would only see the bar of Indian cricket rising with Rahul Dravid being the coach of Men in Blue. All in all, the end of the Virat-Shastri era marks the beginning of the Rohit-Dravid era. The wounded lion in the form of Virat keen to roar back as a batsman, the calm captain with a high success rate, and the calm head on the shoulders in the dressing room in the form of Rahul Dravid would make the strongest team, an invincible team was all set to scare to all the opponents. With the first encounter yesterday. one would love to see this trio dominate the Kiwis, and world cricket. As a true Indian fan, I would like to thank Virat-Shastri for their valuable service and would wish all the best for Rohit-Dravid to carry the legacy even further.

- AI and ML in India : Legal challenges and opportunities by Arunima Jha
We all have been subjected to predictive algorithms. So how can we ensure that artificial decision making is respectful of human rights and it does promote human rights? As a lawyer, I worry most about the ethical legal implications of emerging technologies on society. When you allow the software to make life-altering decisions for people it's scary. Are these algorithms better than humans? After all the objective of using algorithms is to remove human biases and help lawyers and judges provide wider access to justice for the common citizens. To understand AI, it's important to demystify pattern-based AI. There's an issue of transparency when I look at AI technology. And as a lawyer, I feel law and ethics inform each other. The trade-off between the two is artificial. The most effective way of ensuring a sound ethical AI is to have human rights protected. In my experience, it's important to have effective legislation but it's also important to have industry self-regulatory bodies to keep a check on the AI to make sure that the intelligent system is fair. So does automating lawyering tasks work? Computers are bad at dealing with contingencies that are outside the data collection and with that as background it is highly unlikely to automate lawyering tasks. Precisely also because the underlying work is insufficiently structured to be automated. Even if we look at the certain aspects of saying a legal brief is certainly consistent across individual instances like introductory or concluding material but much of the meat of the legal brief entails and requires conceptual creativity and flexibility that is beyond the current scope of the machines. There's a complex interplay of law and facts. The facts in question dictate the relevant law but the law tells us which facts are particularly relevant. The use of precedents which becomes second nature for a lawyer makes it exceedingly difficult to automate as the same case can be used to support both the plaintiff and the defendant's case. Making arguments require differentiation between binding holding and the persuasive dicta and also requires placing that one case as the precedents So how to use the technologies effectively? We shouldn't assume that lawyers are perfect but neither should we assume that technology is the only option. In many cases, legal reasoning by individuals for individuals is constitutive of the legal situation and it is not merely the sole way of addressing the legal situation and that may seem circular, however it puts the lawyers in a different category than other service providers and it's amazing. Vedix is the fastest-growing D2C beauty brand, which has brought unadulterated Ayurveda led customisation of beauty regimes to the market. The Company has also launched a digital marketing campaign to introduce this latest innovation. Vedix Base and Booster oils take customization a notch above. The brand firmly believes in customizing all its products based on individual needs. Customization is inherent to Ayurveda. Over the years, Vedix has strived to address hair and skin problems with tailor-made customized solutions. Ayurveda knows no two individuals are the same. Thus, offering the exact solution to seemingly similar hair troubles is not the best way to heal an individual. The very first thing Ayurveda does is to: know you . The subtle, fine-tuned customizations done by evaluating an individual in their entirety make Ayurvedic products unique and compelling. The Base oils are a blend of high-quality cold-pressed oils like coconut, sesame, castor, argan, jojoba, etc. The base oils are customized based on your scalp type. Vata dosha results in a dry scalp. Pitta dominants may have sensitive, oily scalp. Kapha dosha causes a sweaty, oily, and itchy scalp. The Base oils being a perfect blend, help alleviate the doshas, and nurture your unique scalp type. A healthy scalp translates into healthy, voluminous hair growth. Vedix Boosters are potent herbal extracts. Traditional Taila Paka Vidhi is employed to maximize the yield of the extracts in oils. Each herb has a broad spectrum of active principles, which are often soluble in various mediums like oil, water, milk, and alcohol. Taila-Paka Vidhi involves using various media to absorb maximum active principles in the end product. Each herb targets a specific hair problem. You can choose up to 3 boosters for your most encountered hair problems. The available boosters are Amalaki booster oil, Bringaraj booster oil, Brahmi booster oil, Durva booster oil, Japa booster oil, Gunja booster oil, Yashtimadhu booster oil, Datura booster oil, Nirgundi booster oil, Methika booster oil, Musta booster oil and more to be launched soon. Given our understanding of the Ayurvedic scriptures, we are bringing this exclusive range in a modern format customised for all hair types.” Here’s how it works. For eg. Instead, you have a potent concoction that is exactly what your hair needs”, adds Jatin. A bass booster is 30 times more potent than regular hair oil. And perhaps 100% more effective, because it’s exactly what your hair needs. Vedix with a current run rate of Rs 160 crore, adds close to one lakh new customers every month. With the launch of the base + booster model, the company aims to witness at least 20% growth in the new customer additions m-o-m. Of this, a majority is expected to come from the marketplaces. In future, this model could be taken Offline. Price: Base oil: Rs 499 Booster: Rs 299 Can be bought separately or together About Vedix: World’s first customized Ayurvedic beauty & wellness brand Vedix is an Ayurvedic beauty & wellness brand that provides customised Hair, Skincare, and Wellness regimes. - The unexpected winners of the T20 World Cup - Australia
The world has witnessed Australia's domination in the gentleman's game. However, no one predicted the T20 world cup 2021 winner to be Aussies before the start of the tournament. Every cricket fan was considering India and England as the favourites for the world cup. But proving all of them wrong, the 5 times ODI world champions and 2 times Champions trophy winners clinched their first T20 world cup title, following their long wait of 14 years. Author:- Ashwin Jangam (Cricket Analyst, host, poet, entertainer) Insta I'd:- cricket_creativity The Kangaroos reminded the world of what they possess. Before this tournament, they lost the last 4 T20 series they played, the last one being against Bangladesh which they lost with a huge margin of 4-1. It was therefore not expected from them to win this tournament. But, Aussies always have surprises for their countrymen and cricket fans. They started the tournament on a good note beating South Africa in a close encounter, and they followed it by winning against Sri Lanka in the next game. The 3rd game against England was the only encounter they lost in the entire tournament, where they were thrashed by the English team. But they resurrected in the best possible manner by a ruthless display of batting and bowling against Bangladesh, winning the game comfortably and increasing their NRR. The last game of Super 12 against West Indies also resulted in a victory for the Men in Yellow. Aussies qualified with a better NRR, even though they had the same number of wins as Proteas. And they were unleashed thereafter. Proving their team's dominance yet again, they won against Pakistan in the semi-final in one of the most enthralling encounters one can witness. A seemingly impossible task at the end, with 41 required off 18 balls was accomplished by the Aussies with 6 balls to spare, thanks to Matthew Wade and his heroics (also to Hassan Ali's dropped catch). It was a replica of the 2010 world cup semifinal of Aussies against the same opponent where Mr cricket won the game for Kangaroos. The final match was a replica of the 2015 world cup final, the only difference being the fightback and a good total score by the Kiwis. Winning the toss, Aussies chose to bowl. Barring a sensational knock from the Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson, the Black Caps didn't go hard at the Kangaroos. A total of 173 set by the Kiwis, was comfortably chased by Men in Yellow with Warner and Mitchell Marsh contributing to the win with their half-centuries. The final reverse sweep by Glenn Maxwell sealed the things for Aussies, winning them the first T20 world title. The entire tournament had been a collective team effort. David Warner, who had a forgettable IPL, showed the world his class yet again and was one of the major reasons for the rise of Aussies with his batting. He was very well accompanied by Mitchell Marsh in the entire tournament. Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade contributed to the team exactly when it was required for them to win. The Aussie bowling was also impressive throughout the tournament. Adam Zampa, with his spin, was on the top of the chart of wickets for Aussies, scalping wickets when required and getting a 5-wicket haul against Bangladesh. He was very well complimented by the spearhead Starc, Josh Hazelwood, Patrick Cummins. All in all, the team effort of the Aussies was the major reason for their successful campaign. Maybe in near future, one can find aliens, but one will never find an Australian team not giving fightback to their opposition. The fighting spirit of the Aussies and their intent aid their optimism to reach Australian cricket to glory. This is exactly why, the team which was not even considered as a favourite until the final eventually won it and surprised everyone, including their fans. This was the first T20 world cup for Kangaroos, who knows how many more are to come in the future? Only time will tell.

She is an International Teacher Trainer, Curriculum Developer, Soft Skills Trainer, TESOL & Voice and Accent Trainer, Founder – Morning Star Pre-Primary School & CESA Academy. She is also the Public Relations Manager of Positive Thoughts. She began the session by wishing everyone a Happy Children’s Day and took the audience to childhood days by singing ‘Have You Got a Sunshine Smile?’. She highlighted the awards, accolades, partnerships and the work being executed by Positive Thoughts to bring change to the world. Moving ahead, She introduced Dr Gaurav Sharma, the Founder & CEO of Positive Thoughts & Co-Founder – 28 Credentials of Entrepreneurs, Malaysia. She added how he is spreading positivity and building a community of like-minded people filled with motivation and satisfaction. She enthusiastically introduced the Trainer of the eve, Ms Yvonne Dalorto and began with praising her work. She added that ‘Progress isn’t always measured on paper’. The only special need for everyone is to be loved and accepted just the way we are. Ms Yvonne Dalorto started by stating that she is a teacher and she always thinks that ‘Despite however much we think we know, there’s always much more to know. She added that she would be giving everyone a perspective on the journey of a child, so that if we get it right at the beginning what a BIG difference it could make. She mentioned the new NEP (National Education Policy) being introduced in India and added that this would bring a more inclusive reflection of learning. She continued that she loves sharing information and began the conversation-starting from pre-pandemic to post-pandemic. She asked the audience to contribute about the losses as well as what one has gained from the pandemic. She mentioned that as a teacher she gained contact with teachers and students whom she might have never been able to reach out to and missed her presence in the classroom. She highlighted that with those children with disabilities, we as a teacher have to be more concerned and there are many more disorders that limit the attention of the child. The parents of these children take more time to accept and sometimes it becomes very late. Such children are easily distracted and have a short attention span. They face difficulty with understanding the language, concepts, vocabulary and may have difficulty in social interaction and behaviour. She shared a slide that require special learning styles. She added that in this pandemic time, children were majorly receptive and open to online options only. With the "VAK – Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic” module she stated that every individual is using one or more than one learning style to understand. If we as a teacher do not understand and use different modes of learning style then we would have children failing to understand and hence losing attention and participation in the classroom. With the help of a slide presentation, she contented ‘Why teaching in a multisensory way works’ and said that all children benefit from multisensory instruction to stimulate learning pathways. However, the use of multisensory instruction is critical for a child who struggles to learn; almost always making the difference between success and failure. She said 70% of learning happens by what we speak. The connections of nerve cells help us in kinesthetic activities as left and right sides of the brain and both sides bring out our logical and imaginative process. What we see and what we hear makes a story connection. During her session, she also talked about: The letter is not made understood in time, the child may mirror the image or miss out on the kinesthetic module. How children learn letter shapes, manage the information, and understand shapes moving ahead from lines. Diagnosis for Dyslexia and strategies required, Do bilingual kids have the same weaknesses in both languages She emphasised Emerging Special Needs, Age and development of children and then observations as this would help teachers as well as the parents to have appropriate information and the methods and strategies the child would need to overcome the lack of skills. At last, Dr Supriya Kumaravelan (Co-chair of Positive Thoughts) gave the vote of thanks to Ms Yvonne Dalorto for giving her precious time on Thunderbolts. She had the privilege and good fortune to do an internship under top lawyers like Ram Jethmalani. She made an impact with her judgements, soon her writing skills were appreciated and she was held in high respect. After the Internship, she decided to start practising independently as a criminal lawyer. She started her litigation independently. With her legal wisdom and under her wisdom she made a mark in her profession. Her Biggest milestone –achievement was moving to the Supreme Court of India – maintaining a diary under Ram Jethmalani with whom she worked for 28 months. This a service which offers support free of cost. These commendable services have been offered by her for the past 14 years. She receives almost 9000 posts daily which need to be read and approved by her – a herculean task completed with ease by her. On her life choices she shared that despite clearing the preliminary stages of UPSC Exams, She chose to opt-out and choose family over career. Why did she leave the security of her Govt job – She did not want to stay away from her parents/family /since judicial service has a lot of restrictions and limitations. She has been relentlessly working for the past 13 yrs in the field of crime against women. She has sacrificed her ambition and aspirations in favour of her family and wonderfully maintained a balance between personal and professional priorities. She turned down several posts and assignments to meet her family obligations which included a military posting/ judicial services profile. The biggest challenge–was when she was in first-semester law –where she met with a terrible accident on a two-wheeler, was dragged for 2 km on the highway, had fractures/ faced health issues, gained weight etc. She triumphed over all the challenges and came out stronger. Her Foundation - Nari Shakti Ek Nayi Pahal Foundation was started on 6th April 2020. The objective was Legal and media support during Covid – to tackle rape cases – which were being ignored – she took up the cudgel to fight rape cases / formed a team – at both national and international level. - What makes New Zealand such a tough team to beat ?
The finals of the 2019 world cup, WTC and the T20 world cup 2021 have one thing in common, the presence of team New Zealand. The Black caps have made their presence felt in the last half-decade by entering the final in the last 3 ICC events. The team which never qualified in a world cup final till 2015, dominated the ICC events. What is the reason for their domination in world cricket, and what makes New Zealand so special? Author:- Ashwin Jangam (Cricket Analyst, host, poet, entertainer) Insta I'd:- cricket_creativity The answer is simple, their ability to stick to the basics. It is not their brutal bowling or their sensational batting which wins them matches, but it is the discipline with which they play, which leads them to victory. Kiwis follow the basics of the game more than any other cricket playing nation, making them one of the toughest opponents. You'll hardly see any Kiwi bowler targetting line other than the 4th stump. Also, under the leadership of Kane Williamson, the Kiwis have improved tremendously as a batting unit. The Men in Black were never short of power hitters, but the new era under the smiling captain Kane increased their batsmen playing by the book. Every single batsman playing with the Black jersey is technically sound and can win them matches. Plus unlike other Sena countries, Kiwis play spinners exceptionally well. They never had woes when it came to seamers, whether right-handed or left-handed. But their improved performance against spin allows them to perform better in all the conditions. Their performance in Asia from the past half-decade is proof of the same. The IPL has played a vital role in their increased understanding of Asian pitches. With the addition of Devon Conway, the southpaw who hit a magnificent double hundred on his debut at the Lord's, the Kiwi batting looks even stronger. Their batting might have been more technically sounded now, but their bowling was always their strength and has continued to remain even to date. The likes of Trent Boult, Lockie Fergusson, Tim Southee continue to dismantle the opposition batting. Whether it is the swing of Trent, Pace of Lockie or a combination of both by Southee, the Kiwi bowling always follows required discipline to put additional pressure on the opposite batters. The elegance and beauty in their bowling is not a new thing, it was visible from decades of them playing the game. Furthermore, the Kiwis have always produced all-rounders who are good pacers and can finish the game with their hard-hitting. This was visible in the semi-final with James Neesham playing his role with the ball and bat both with perfection. This not just allows them extra bowling options, but gives them great batting depth. They bring the right balance to their squad. But the main reason for their team's success is the calm head of their captain, and one of the best batsmen of this generation, Kane Williamson. The way a smiling assassin has led his team since he took over as captain is just amazing. His ability to rotate the bowlers at the right time and his perfect field placements have proved to be a boon for his team. While leading the side, he has not let his batting go down one bit. , He has played captain innings to help his team to a win on numerous occasions. He is a true gentleman of the game, and his gestures have won the hearts of cricket fans time and again. Everyone was left in admiration of this gentleman when he was seen smiling after the 2019 world cup final defeat. All these factors make the Kiwis one of the toughest sides beat at the moment. A country having a population of about 5 million, have wok hearts of billions of cricket fans across the globe. With so much on their side, one can hope this side to win the world cup, and become the first team to win 2 ICC trophies in a single year. It happens, it will be a treat for the fans. They have a great chance to avenge their 2015 world cup final defeat today, but while doing so, they should never underestimate the Aussies.
