  • LIC HOUSING FINANCE – 33 Years of Nurturing Relations

With the demand for housing loans likely to remain strong, housing finance companies are expected to benefit and grow their assets under management by 9-11 per cent in FY2023. Most of the HFCs have already reached their pre-COVID level disbursements and are set to grow their disbursement volume further. The country’s premier pure-play mortgage lender, LIC Housing Finance Company (LIC HFL) is also set to capitalise on the conducive market as it completes 33 years of operations. As a long-term participant with a strong track record and vast industry experience, LIC HFL has seen and experienced several financial and economic cycles and always endeavoured to stay ahead of the curve. Over the years, it has grown stronger and built a huge base of around 26 lakh customers with an outstanding loan book of Rs.2.52 lakh crore. In the process, it has laid a strong foundation for sustained business growth for long-term success. LIC HFL has differentiated itself by strategically aligning to the customer needs, being innovative in its approach and laying emphasis on quality business. As a result, it has emerged as a dominant player in the financial sector and created long-term value for its stakeholders and investors. Customer centricity has always been at the core of the Company’s initiatives ranging from contemporary product suites, affordable interest rates, simplified processes and transparency in operations. Through its well-trained network of 281 marketing offices, around 10,000 marketing intermediaries and its own distribution company, LICHFL Financial Services Ltd, the Company has an expansive reach to address the home loan needs of prospective borrowers. As part of its extended outreach, the Company further plans to extend its operations to markets in Tier 3 centres and beyond where housing demand remains unmet. To further augment its distribution plans, LICHFL has entered into many strategic alliances and tirelessly worked to provide last-mile accessibility to unserved areas and demographics. In today's fast-paced environment, customers are increasingly shifting to the mode of digital transactions. LIC HFL has been focussing on digitalisation for many years. The new normal conditions post-pandemic have further accentuated its digital adoption. Under its digital transformation program named Project RED - Re-imagining Excellence thru’ Digital Transformation, the Company aims to bring about a differentiated loan journey to borrowers right from onboarding, approvals and post-disbursement servicing aspects. The Company has a full home loan service App HomY that has eased the process of applying for loans and sanctions. Last year, 20% of the disbursements made were initiated through HomY App. The larger objective is to usher in changes by organically unifying the work culture, strengthening the processes and, deepening customer engagement, through best-in-class technology. Demand for housing is increasing and people are keen to buy their own homes as a safety net apart from a sense of social security. The changing customer preferences have aided the demand for larger homes. Existing homeowners are remodelling and updating existing ones. The demand from non-metro centres has also surged, owing to the emergence of smart cities, satellite towns and overall infrastructural development happening in the country. As we celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in India’s 75th year of Independence, LIC HFL is well-positioned to capitalise on the resurgence in opportunities and tap into the potential of the ever-growing Indian economy.

  • Featured By Stay Featured : Author Preeti Narang

Team Stay Featured is extremely happy for bringing an exclusive interview with author Preeti Narang 1 What made you become an author? – Since college, I loved writing but only for myself. I had never thought about becoming an author. However, when I came across a true story a few years ago, I just knew I had to pen it down. One can say, I became an author by chance but am pursuing it by choice. My first story ‘Prodigal Love?’ or ‘Yeh Kaisa Pyar?’ is a wonderful story, very close to my heart. I am sure everyone will love it and learn from it. 2 How do you balance your writing and work profession? – I always craved for a balanced life and now I can say I have it. I limit my work to 8-10 hours a day and the rest I keep for my hobbies and day-to-day activities. In my personal time as well, I prioritize my tasks and it allows me to focus on important activities. For instance, writing takes priority over watching television. I prefer doing productive things that make me happy. They give me peace of mind and mental satisfaction. I commit myself one hundred per cent to everything I do. 3 Tips for somebody who wants to start his/her career in writing – The only and the most important tip I would like to give them is ‘Do it and do it now’. Life is too short and there is no right time. The present time is the only time. In today’s competitive world, we often forget about the things that make us happy. We get too busy in the rat race we don’t realize when life takes us away from ourselves. We get busy fulfilling duties and responsibilities, we don’t recognize when life ends. So, do it now. Many people in this world think about writing a book, but only a few do it. Be the latter. There is no lack of time, only a lack of commitment. Find the time and fulfil your dream. 4 What inspires an author to pick up a subject for writing a book? – Anything can inspire an author. A conversation, a song or a movie, another book, television, a dream, day-to-day life, just anything. We get ideas from everywhere. 5 How do you zero down on one topic? – As prioritization is important in any work, it is important in writing as well. I started with the topic that is closest to my heart and am slowly moving towards another topic which I never thought I would write about. 6 How long does it take you to write a book? - For my English book ‘Prodigal Love?’, it took me one year and ten months to research, write, edit and publish the book. For the Hindi book ‘Yeh Kaisa Pyar?’, it took me only a month to write, edit and publish the book. The timeframe depends on the research needed for the book. Once the research is done, it’s all about penning it down. 7 How do you see the Author’s market? – It’s declining. Nowadays, fewer people are reading books because of their busy lives and the rise of social media. People like spending their free time on social media, reading brief messages, and watching videos than reading a long book. They look for quick entertainment, whereas reading a book takes time. Inflation and rise in paper prices have also added to the decline as many still like reading a hard copy and are not yet comfortable in reading an eBook. 8 Future Plans – Soon I plan to work on my next book. It will focus on the grief and struggle of the families who lost their loved ones during COVID. It will be a ray of new normal and hope in this unpredictable environment. My long-term plan includes writing more books, blogs, poems and articles, especially based on real life. Some might focus on humanity, grief, women, Indian culture, western culture or something else. • Give your children a safe place to open up and share their feelings: Jyoti Parchani

“Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves” ― Henry David This quote has been my go-to mantra for every challenge that I face, as an individual and as well as a parent. Your mental health is the most crucial aspect of your well-being. It determines how you’re able to handle and operate emotionally, socially, psychologically and physically. Considering how much of a role your mental health plays in each aspect of your life, it's important to guard and improve your psychological wellness every single day. Hello Namaskar, I am Jyoti parchani, a lawyer by qualification and a homemaker by choice and passion. Today, a proud mother of two young girls is here to share her experience as a parent. I think today I can’t be a mother like my mom was to me. Undoubtedly she at her time was the best mom anyone could wish for but time has immensely changed now in this technical and competitive world. A mother has to be a friend, a guide, a companion, a counsellor and much more for her children. The biggest challenge for parents today is to deal with the mental health of their children, as the world is so competitive and fast and everybody is just running to achieve success and if some can’t run faster and efficiently - depression, anxiety, and self-doubts are the few consequences of it. Unlike our times we use to be patient and strong enough to wait for the arrival of the best time. However, today’s youth lack patience & mental strength and we just have to understand that this is the need of time as a parent we need to boost their self-esteem and encourage them to have faith in themselves. Youth today may not be good at listening but they imitate what their parents do, so try to be a good role model for them and encourage them to spread love and light wherever they go. Teach them not to be affected by small failures and setbacks. Be generous in our ideas when it comes to their freedom. I think as a mother I have been liberal to my girls to choose their streams, Careers, professions, friends and most importantly life but yes I am always there to guide them, point out their mistakes and help them rectify the same. Make transparent communication a priority and give your children a safe place to open up and share their feelings, thoughts and opinions. In your most challenging parenting moments, take a deep breath and try to remember that the moment your child is at their most challenging is when your child is struggling with the most challenges.

  • Five Easy Steps to Prevent Plagiarism by Shivani Bhardwaj

Plagiarism is a type of scientific misconduct that is described as attempting to publish material without correctly attributing the original author and publication and using ideas or language that were created by another person or taken from one's own prior works. By simply not duplicating any printed materials, producing original language in one's own words, and, if paraphrasing, citing the source, writers can easily avoid plagiarism. Unfortunately, incidents of plagiarism have become all too widespread in the scientific community, suggesting that many authors have either forgotten or ignored these straightforward principles. ' A forgiving perspective is that authors who commit plagiarism don't know what it means to do so. Science follows a set of rules for research that are independent of geography, social mores, or individual preferences. Considering that the norms regulating writing and publishing data are sacred and that doing so is essential to the scientific enterprise. We must all agree on and uphold the same standards when it comes to plagiarism. As the major "gatekeeper" of scientific integrity, we as the editors and publishers of the Annals of Biomedical Engineering take this responsibility seriously. We strongly encourage reviewers and readers to express ethical concerns or simple inquiries about what constitutes plagiarism in our papers and published articles because we do not allow plagiarism or any other form of associated misconduct. We also anticipate that our writers will take extreme precautions to prevent plagiarism. 1. Don't copy. Mimicking verbatim words from any other paper or book (even if it's your own previously published work) is not good writing. Very short quotations are acceptable when contained within quotation marks and citing the source immediately following the quote. It should go without saying that copying without quotation marks and lacking appropriate citations is blatant plagiarism. but unfortunately, this does occur. 2. Compose a piece in your own words. Without referencing another author's words or writing style, express all of your own ideas in writing. Consequently, you want to try to minimize the use of paraphrasing. The only circumstances in which it is appropriate to paraphrase—rewriting someone else's material in your own words—include the original source citation at the conclusion of the paraphrased portion are when it appears briefly in the text (for example, a paragraph). Here, refraining from paraphrasing is the simplest method to allay any concerns about plagiarism. To communicate your ideas, use your own, original *voice*. Material that has been borrowed must always be cited before the original text. 3. Cite if in doubt. This may be a sign that you're not writing enough in your own words if you find yourself citing a lot. This is a signal that your manuscript would benefit from revision. It is not necessary to reference or use quote marks around common words and phrases. However, any mention of commonly understood concepts must be properly attributed. 4. Don't reuse text, photos, figures, or tables from one of your own previously published publications without citing them. In general, it's better to avoid publishing a figure that has already been published. However, if you must, cite the original study in the figure or table caption, make sure to note in the test that it originated from your earlier publication, and acquire permission if you have not kept the copyrights. Don't reuse text on different papers. For each paper, create a fresh text. Self-plagiarism, albeit frequently unintentional, is viewed the same as willful plagiarism if you fail to follow these instructions. 5. Request consent. You must obtain the author's consent and properly credit them if you intend to use a figure, table, or any other type of previously unpublished data that was produced or obtained by someone who is not a co-author of your paper. If you create your own figure or table, the same rules applyparaphrasing

  • Gayatri Vaishampayan - Coach, Artist and Entrepreneur

Many times in life we are unaware of what the call of our destiny is. Being born and brought up in a middle-class working family, I was surrounded by people with a conservative mindset. After my marriage, I got an opportunity to stay in the United States for a few years. There, I met fearless, self-reliant, strong Indian women who took great strides in an independent and progressive environment. That inspired me to change my attitude and vision, which also unfolded new dimensions of thoughts. Sacrifice and cooperation is a part and parcel of a married Indian woman's life. She has to face many hardships and struggles in many ways because as we all know, the family building is not a very easy job and it requires a lot of love, care, and patience. And this all describes my married life . My husband has a huge passion for Hindustani (Indian) music and he started to feel the lure of our homeland soon after we shifted abroad. Hence, we came back to India forever after wrapping up our work in the US. My husband Rajendra decided to quit his well-established job in the software field and decided to pursue a career in the field of music. My son was born in the United States, and shortly after that, our second child, that is our company 'Sonic Octaves Art Media and Entertainment Company' came to life. Twelve years after I graduated . after a long gap,I got a job in the field of civil engineering which I decided to continue in order to support my husband's new business. Post marriage, I achieved my Master Degree along with my family responsibilities, my job as well as the responsibilities of our company. Now coming to our company, 2009 was the era of CDs. We sold the CD Balsanskar which was my ideation for the first time at a school exhibition and this was our first step towards success. It was the most popular CD in the exhibition. Bal Sanskar did really well and hence we translated the same into many languages. This CD motivated us to work even more by giving us thousands of subscribers on our YouTube channel. Sonic Octaves entered the audio world and with the help of many quality channels like Sonic Shraddha, Sonic Kids, and, Sonic Music as well as our qualitative content, our will to achieve perfection and excellence in mixing, editing, and recording, the name of our studio spread across the country. Many of our listeners told us how our audios gave them the hope to live with positivity, happiness and be at peace during the recent corona pandemic period. After the period of exhibitions and sales, we are now in the era of mobile applications. Hence, we stepped into a new medium which was audiobooks Our app came to be known as iPustak. We published many books in the regional language Marathi in the audio form. We published an audio magazine named Sushravya as the first audio monthly magazine in India.' Ankur ' a kids magazine was also published on our app soon after. I received an opportunity to work as the Editor-in-Chief and came in close contact with people and organizations working in various fields. I started working for marketing and selling the products first on an offline physical platform and now digitally .I personally also look into media, publicity, and workshop-related communication for our company Earlier, I have also worked as an anchor, interviewer, author, poet, and actor which has also helped me get to where I am today. I will say this, getting here was not easy. There were many physical, mental as well as financial difficulties. I had to overcome stress and fight major physical illnesses too. Many obstacles tried to hinder my progress. But all this made me stronger as a person and more focused on my goal and what I wanted to do with my life. Since I was also working in the field of teaching and counseling, I had many experiences while guiding the students and also their parents. From these experiences I learned to understand people better and how to overcome difficulties. Even though I had a lot of things to pursue together, which were my education and research in psychology, working as a counselor and coordinator, as a teacher, and shouldering family responsibilities; I never felt overburdened or limited because all these were things I loved doing. Today, Founder and Director . That inspired me to change my attitude and vision, part and parcel, my husband along with Director Mayank Parmar our whole ' Sonic Octaves' team is passionately and sincerely working hard to realize our goals and dreams. We are always open to new ideas and upcoming technology. I will say it's just started and we all enjoy our rides well-wishers.With blessings of almighty , the support of close family , relatives friends and well wishers we have reached upto this remarkable position. About TZP Maa Award --------------------------------------- Today I have a Facebook group called Ankur and some awards have even acknowledged my work. The TZP education and entrepreneur Maa award through Sejal Ray's Taare Zameen Par group has given me the strength to do more. I thank Sejal Ray. I personally thank especially my husband well-wishers, my beloved child, well-wishersand my close family, my friends , well wishers n my journey. Thankful to Pranjali Bade for helping in translating my article in English,. I want to take this journey on the path of perpetual creativity. • Aspirations to Power Self - DIAS Conference 2022 : Monalisa Kar

“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change” The pandemic opened up a mass of online programs and a plethora of knowledge sharing happened. For a learner, it soon became the main source of learning because multiple programs were available which were earlier off the charts and almost all free. The programs had a tall promise and taller claims; calling it the implementation. There are very few which define the benchmark, of the “talk and walk” showcase. I was invited to a super speaker conference to be held on the weekend. I wanted to explore the impact and add value from my “pitara”. Along with spreading my message, connecting to people is the cherry on top. Conferences are typically a weave of like-minded experts having candidly discuss and present a topic, exposing attendees to new divergent ways of thinking, operating and being more productive. In simpler words, a big mixer, grinding expert domain knowledge into a digestible platter for the audiences. Brain-storming thoughts, networking, sharing and creating new ideas, and igniting motivation. DIAS First International Multidisciplinary Conference, a two-day Summit with speakers coming together from more than 70 countries was organized on 25-26 June 2022. The founding members, the fantastic trio - Prof Dr. Pratik Mungekar, DrMr Archana Burman and Mr Selvame Pazhany combined their futuristic vision of impact and scalability for driving aspirations to the core of each global citizen. It's a great showcase of dedication, focus, energy, mission and contribution from the team. The chief guest Mrof Sandeep Marwah and Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor spoke about the happiness, true spirits of humanity and the extent of intention to create impact. Dr. Shelly, Dr. Anita, Brother Nur, and Mr. Selvame did appreciable moderation during the session connecting the learnings and the flow of the sessions. The platform’s scope expanded by bringing together International Speakers and Delegates to share focused ideas and impact through diverse topics - foster learning, inspiration, implementation, and value addition to the global community as a whole. A construct of creative & bright minds for conversations that matter to humankind. Each speaker along with the entire team gave graciously extended their support to the vision. The knowledge, expertise, respect, kindness, and appreciation were heartfelt and authentic. The spirit of collaboration was a grand feeling unifying the convention. I had an incredible experience listening to, learning, and connecting. The learning came with light nuggets as practical tips and hacks. • Ignite Meraki With A ‘Symbiosis’ of Fun and Learning -Bhavana Narsingoju

The word ‘Ignite’ means to catch fire. Fire symbolises the energy of the youth, positivity and divine intervention. ‘IGNITE INDIA’ has aptly used this power of fire, to captivate the students from Grade 9 to Grade 12 with the help of this innovative and interesting concept of a student fest dedicated to guiding, empowering and above all, celebrating the uniqueness of every child. The fest has been rightly titled as ‘Meraki’, which translates to ‘great passion’. The concept behind the grand festival was to acquaint students with offbeat careers and provide a platform for showcasing one’s talents and abilities. The idea is one of its kind and it is truly rare to see an institute invest huge amounts of resources to create awareness and motivate the youth of the country. Symbiosis Junior College of Arts, Science and Commerce located in Kiwale was fortunate to participate at ‘Meraki’ and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the day. From the interaction with accomplished guest speakers to walking the ramp and eagerly awaiting the final prize distribution ceremony, there was no dull moment. As a part of our experiential model of learning at Symbiosis Junior College, we take pride in encouraging our students to participate in various competitions all across the globe to challenge themselves. Symbiosis Junior College bagged three awards for Slam Poetry and Art. We are forever indebted to the organizing committee at Ignite India for giving our students the much-needed exposure and pat on the back my special thanks to Mrs Nidhi Mithil Bhandare, Founder, Director Mindlancer, Regional Head, Ignite India for inviting and organising such a meaningful event. Kudos to all the participating students, Principals, teachers and the organising committee for coming together and pooling their skills and expertise. We hope to empower the generation of tomorrow, with knowledge galore in the years to come.
