The 19th Lions World Diabetes Awareness and Organ Donation Program is Scheduled on November 18

On World Diabetes Day, an event to raise awareness is held.

Pune: Worldwide, November 14 is observed as World Diabetes Day to raise awareness of diabetes.





On November 18, a Janajagruti rally and a number of other initiatives have been planned to raise public awareness of diabetes. In a press conference, Chief Convener of the Lions Provincial (2016–17) and Head of the Maharashtra Organ Donation, Dr. Chandrahas Shetty, provided this information.Mr."We, for Lions Diabetes Awareness, have been organizing various programs to create awareness about diabetes since 2004 under the slogan "Education to Protect Tomorrow," Shetty stated. The 19th Lions World Diabetes Awareness and Organ Donation Program has been organized since the morning of November 18 for this year's awareness campaign. A rally to raise awareness will take place in this activity at 8 a.m.between Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagriha and City Pride Theater, Kothrud. Doctors, athletes, diabetics, students, prominent citizens from various fields, Lions, and others will be attending this rally.


At the initiative of Wadia Hospital, Sky Clinic, Seth Tarachand Ramnath Charitable Hospital, Patient Pawan Association, and Pune City, various activities have been organized by Lions Club Friends and Family, Lions Club of Pune 21st Century, Patron Club, Participating Club, and N.M.On November 18, a camp for diabetes and medical checkups will be held at the Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and expert guidance on diabetes and organ donation will be provided from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. as part of the aforementioned initiative. Misunderstandings regarding the use of insulin in diabetes Patients with diabetes will also learn about diets for diabetics, the importance of raising awareness about organ donation, and how to lead a stress-free life. Similar to previous years, there will also be 20-30 stalls showcasing the most recent advancements in diabetes prevention, management, and eye testing.
