StyleTatva 2025: Where Craft Meets Conscious Living and Women Lead the Way

The fifth edition of StyleTatva, the signature fashion and lifestyle exhibition by FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Hyderabad Chapter, concluded with flair and purpose at Hitex, Hyderabad. Over two impactful days, the event drew more than 10,000 visitors and stood as a vibrant showcase of women-led entrepreneurship, social impact, and the timeless elegance of Indian craftsmanship.

A Platform Rooted in Purpose

Inaugurated by the Hon’ble Mayor of GHMC, Smt. Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, the exhibition brought together over 250 women-led brands across fashion, home décor, wellness, and conscious living—from the creative lanes of Delhi to the handlooms of Banaras. A solemn moment during the opening saw the Mayor call for a minute of silence in honour of the victims of a recent plane crash, reflecting the event's deep empathy.

“StyleTatva is not just an exhibition—it’s a radiant platform for empowerment and legacy,” said the Mayor. “Dokra is not just a craft—it is our cultural heritage. I already feel like a part of FLO, and once my tenure ends, I’d love to be officially involved.”

Voices That Inspired

Guest of Honour and FLO National President, Mrs. Poonam Sharma, highlighted the critical need for women’s leadership. “Women constitute half the population. Their leadership is essential—not just in business, but in policy and governance too,” she said, emphasising the deeper mission behind the event.

Celebrity stylist Dolly Jain also took center stage, sharing her remarkable journey with the Indian saree. “Over the last 17 years, I’ve replaced gowns with sarees at weddings, proving they’re just as chic. I’ve draped sarees in 325 styles and hold a world record—draping one in just 18.5 seconds,” she said to resounding applause.

Legacy in Focus: Dokra Revival

A standout feature of this year’s StyleTatva was the Initiative Pavilion, dedicated to reviving Dokra—the 4,000-year-old tribal metal craft from Adilabad. FLO Hyderabad Chairperson Prathibha Kunda elaborated on this cultural mission.

“Supported by the Ministry of MSME, our aim is to blend modern design with traditional techniques to ensure Dokra's sustainability. This edition of StyleTatva represents a larger vision—where heritage crafts find global relevance through empowered women,” she explained.

The premiere of a special documentary spotlighted the journeys of Dokra artisans, while a live marketplace enabled visitors to connect directly with these traditional craftsmen and women.
