1) Brand History Muses_Saga started in 2021 and has published 16 books in various genres till now. 2) How and why did you get started in this line of work ? Muses_Saga didn't start as a publishing house but as a poetry page. When the poets began to look for a publisher for their first anthology they realized that most self-publishing agencies charge a lot for the services they offer. Furthermore, their readership was students who couldn't afford to buy a lot of books. Additionally, they were aghast at the treatment of unsold books by larger publishers who weren't printed on demand. Hence, one of them Anjali Roongta decided to start a zero-cost publishing, free online reading, and eco-friendly publishing house to help others like themselves. 3) What are the biggest challenges you foresee in this role? Being zero-cost and eco-friendly presents some unique challenges. Many printers have already conned us by charging exorbitant prices for recycled paper or giving normal paper and labeling it as recycled. Additionally, many tend to ridicule us for thinking sustainability in a business can work. Additionally, we put trigger warnings in all our works which are also laughed at despite promoting informed reading 4) How do you keep your team motivated in the face of tight deadlines? Our team mostly consists of freelancers. Furthermore, we are a health-first organization and try to avoid tight deadlines and the anxiety they bring. 5) Share about products and offers. We publish books from all genres at zero cost on recycled paper and in a print-on-demand system. We are eco-friendly publishers. 1) If you're not living life for yourself, who is going to live it for you? So, I personally want to do many things, but I am also worried about what people would think. So, for example, when I started my Instagram, I was so embarrassed to start it and in the past, I found myself saying that - "Oh, my friend suggested I do this." Rather than just admitting that it was myself and I wanted to do this for myself. Think how sad and depressing is that, to not allow yourself to do things, to not try things, to not do things just simply because you want them. So, if I am not having a good time, how is going to do it for me? The realization that I actually don't need anyone's permission to do something is quite liberating. 2) Social confirmation is brief, and we need fresh doses all the time - I don't think I realized this in the past but for example, if someone wins an Oscar, this doesn't mean that they're not going to be nervous about their next movie. Even if receiving an Oscar proves that the person is a great actor, that's not a passport that they would hold for their life. They would always be judged from the start. So, for this reason, chasing social confirmation is such a bad way to live. Every time I do something, I would be judged individually. For example, if I win an Oscar for law, no one will care what I did last year, they will only look at my current work. There is no passport for being perfect, people would never say no matter what that person does now they would always stay perfect forever. So, if someone judges you badly for the current work, they can judge you better for the next thing. So why should you keep chasing certificates for the rest of your life? 3) Most "Superheroes" are nothing of the sort. They're weird neurotic creatures who do big things despite lots of self-defeating habits and self-talk - Having self-doubt and caring about what people think is not something that would necessarily go away. Just actively choose to not care about the parts of your brain that are screaming - "Oh my God! you're so embarrassing" "Oh my God! what people will say?" OR Oh my God! what people would think?" It's difficult to break away from people's expectations but just stop caring about what others think. It will help shape your life better. The new normal is to work remotely, study online, shop from your couch and limit physical interactions. This will need education technology to improvise and come up with innovative solutions that will enable collaboration in class, smoothen teacher transitions, and leverage holograms and AR/VR technology. Hence, He believes that this method and beyond will be used by other schools. Impact · He got to train 112+ teachers. Helped them with the preparation of MS PowerPoint, Animations, and graphics to explain subjects to pre-primary students for many playgroup/ KG classes. · He also got to sharpen His skills doing the same. Managing time for the call support system after training and making videos to further help them was a very enriching as experience. · These 110+ videos and helpline will be available forever as a free resource. Effort and Commitment · He takes sessions and then calls to support. I made videos as well. This took at least 2-3 hours a day initially and then it was reduced. · Time Management was an obstacle, but He learned how to distribute His day in a productive manner and reduced His TV time and Playtime to help teachers · Teaching Zoom on WhatsApp to each teacher was difficult and time-consuming. Took sessions on other aspects on Zoom then. It is continued support provided. He has plans to take free sessions on multimedia for all future teachers of this academic and any teacher who need support in the technology-related domain. 2. Free technical training to the underprivileged: During this pandemic, He has done 100+ certifications from many academies such as IIT Mumbai, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Accenture, Griffith University, and the like. He has learned about artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, Data Sciences, Power electronics, Electrical vehicles, VR/AR, etc. He realized that it can get very expensive and time-consuming to learn new technologies. Not all have the money and time to do so Hence, He created His YouTube channel- AllSpark Infinite. His thought behind this channel is to share His learnings with students of His age group and seed the urge in them to provide free learning to underprivileged children. Every individual has a unique spark that can be infinite. Hence the name ALL Spark Infinite. Through his YouTube channel, he has been imparting free video training on Elocution, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, ways to end procrastination, preparing professional word documents, discussing social causes like water pollution, growing plants on mars, and admiring His inspiration – Mr. Elon Musk. He has learned to shoot and edit his channel videos on his own. He has also made his own advertisements. He has just put his knowledge to noble use and instilled the spark in all youngsters like me to do so. ''Impact'' · He has 250 students as subscribers who watch and learn from His60 videos that He has on His channel. Many people visit His channel on an ad hock basis and are able to share whatever He has learned. · Learning new things keep us busy and motivated. '''''Effort and Commitment''''' He uploads one video a week which takes around 1 hr to make but before I do so I complete His certification for which I put in 5-6 hours a week. When he sees any problem, His brain cells get triggered and he looks for solutions that can ease the ordeal. When he first saw a disabled (mute) person, he was unable to comprehend his thoughts. That resulted in me designing an app for people who cannot speak. He used technology to “give voice to their words”. He always gets inspired by people and nature around him. At the age of 9 and as a 4th grader, he dedicated 13 mobile applications that he had developed to his school. The school motivated him to share His learnings and app development skills with His classmates. He has made an app for teacher tracking and one for teachers training. Impact He has provided links to His apps to whoever is in need. They are free to share. Effort and Commitment · He wishes to make more such apps to help the community. 6. As part of the Social Entrepreneurship program with GOODCLAP, He has formed SPARKX Animal Welfare to rescue and feed animals in the month of September 2020. Impact He has rescued close to 15 animals/birds and arranged resources to feed many on a daily basis. Effort and Commitment He spends close to an hour feeding the animals on a daily basis. He has plans to expand this initiative to many more societies in His area in the future 7. Pandemic Health He has spun off a “not for profit” initiative with NGOs to organize health check-up camps across India. Have enabled registrations for health check-up camps across India and has been organizing these in association with labs and NGOs at subsidized rates. He has enabled registration for health check-up camps across India in association with 4 NGOs and through the MyGate application at highly subsidized rates under the banner of "Pandemic Health". He has been in constant touch with Covid-impacted areas and organized virtual emotional well-being sessions through mind coach counselors in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Bhopal which helped 93 people. He also contributed monetarily to NGOs — Persistent Foundation and GD Anklesaria Dialysis Centre NGOs. The monetary contributions were made to organise oxygen camps and arrange concentrators in remote areas of Ratlam and Nagpur. In this pandemic, He has helped in organizing 19 camps in 7 states. His goal for the Pandemic Health initiative is to get health check-up camps organized across 29 states of India. Most people in rural India don't have the same access to healthcare facilities like we have here in cities. In a small way, he tried to provide whatever little he could to fight the pandemic. His family and his school wholeheartedly supported him in this initiative. His contributions are a part of their syllabus now. o 25000+ students(all branches) of His school have been impressed by His book. Some have been inspired and have written books of their own. He has sold 500+ copies. o 250+ students are learning from His channel. He has conducted many workshops for India First Robotics, Makers Duniya, etc on technical topics. My journey into Librarianship began the first time I entered my college's library in Pandhurna where I grew up. I was about 17 years old when I was completing my B.Sc in PCB. We were introduced to big libraries for the very first time in our college as I studied in a government school which did not have the facility of libraries back then. The first time I entered my college library I was beyond excited! The books' scent, fresh pages, and the stories that each book held were all wonderful to me. Because I adored reading, this was like a dream come true! I was struck by the room's comfort and the variety of books kept on the shelves. I went there frequently from then on and developed a love for reading and libraries! But what inspired me the most to become a Librarian was our Librarian Professor Mr. Manoj Patil, he was indeed a great teacher and librarian, He had immense knowledge about each book kept in our library, and he always motivated us to read books. Once in a conversation with him, I asked him - Why did you choose to be a Librarian, rather than a subject teacher? He smiled and replied - "I love being a Librarian because I have the ability to offer knowledge from all subjects and not just one." His response changed the way I perceived libraries; rather than thinking of them as relaxing places to read, I realized the depth of information they carry. After I finished my BSC degree, I decided to pursue a career as a Librarian, I then began taking courses to acquire my degree in Library Science (B.Lib). After completing of B.Lib, I was hired as a Librarian at Globus Engineering College, Bhopal in the year 2006, where I worked for 4 years. It was there that I discovered that I loved being a “detective for information." While I was working I also completed my degree in M.lib and did a special Library automation course in CRISP, Bhopal to gain knowledge about e-libraries. But, then came a time in my life when I had to get settled and start my own family. In the year 2010, I got married and shifted to Ahmednagar. After marriage, there was a halt to my career because of the workload at home, but I always missed books and my job. I was very lucky that my family supported me and wanted me to go back to work, but after the birth of my daughter, I couldn't be regular at work. Once she grew up I was again ready to go back to my happy place (The library). I then got a job in Sai Angel International School, Ahmednagar, and worked there for 3 years. In the year 2020 corona hit the country and we were all stuck at our homes. It's then I witnessed the evolution of technology and how it has changed the face of librarianship. The development of Kindles, Tablets, and Smartphones has changed the way communities receive reading content. People have somehow lost touch with books and have switched to technology. Perhaps, it was a great way to provide education at the time of the pandemic. To cope up with the latest technologies I gained more knowledge about e-books and e-libraries. And, Finally, in the year 2022, I again started working as a Librarian at Icon Public School, Ahmednagar, where I am currently placed now. Today's librarians are also teaching students how to use modern technology. This is crucial in order to reduce digital inequality and ensure that all citizens have access to relevant information and resources. A lot has changed in libraries since I was a 17-year-old little girl entering my college library, for the very first time. But, one thing that has not changed and that will always exist is that "A book is man's best friend". No technology can compare to the silence and comfort of studying in a library. Because deep down we all love to read books in the coziness of a calm and quiet library filled with books that contain the knowledge of the whole world. But, whether they are physical libraries or electronic ones, they are all designed to provide knowledge. I'm incredibly proud to be a librarian since I can educate any group of students or anyone regardless of the format! EduDrone – WE CONNECT Principal coffee meet was organized in association with My Book Palace on - ‘Transformational workshop for school thought leaders’ on 15th December 2022. The session was around the topic ‘Opportunities and Challenges in the Educational Sector. It was to empower the principals to deal with the day-to-day challenges and prepare them for the future. It was a session on transformational workshop along with knowing one-stop solution for the schools; may it be books, tech partners, daily office supplies, state-of-the-art lab equipment, and much more offered by My Book Palace. It was a plush networking event for school thought leaders and principals. The session began with a warm welcome by Mrs. Kajal Chhatija – Director, united International School and Founder & CEO of EduDrone – WE CONNECT. She briefed me about the workshop that was organized and did set the tone for the day. She introduced the founder of My Book Palace, Mr. Sukhen Waghmare who has a one-stop solution for schools. The Chief Guest for the session was Mrs. Harshal Deshmukh-Director, Vidya Group of Schools.
