Hyderabad, India – The FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Hyderabad Chapter, held a compelling interactive session titled “Legacy, Leadership & Purpose – The New Age of Wellness” on Thursday evening at a city hotel in Begumpet. The session featured Ms. Upasana Kamineni Konidela, a prominent healthcare entrepreneur and Vice Chairperson of the Apollo Foundation, who brought her signature blend of insight and passion to a discussion focused on purpose-led leadership in modern healthcare.

A key highlight of the evening was the official launch of FLO Health Kavach, a groundbreaking national initiative by FLO designed to empower women across India. This unique support platform addresses critical issues such as legal rights, financial literacy, mental health, and cybersecurity—challenges that disproportionately affect women and are often under-addressed.
In conversation with FLO Hyderabad Chairperson Ms. Prathibha Kunda, Ms. Upasana candidly shared her personal and professional journey. She underscored the power of purpose-driven leadership in transforming not only healthcare delivery but also community outcomes.
“To me, legacy means bringing more women into the workforce,” she noted. “A stronger female workforce leads to healthier families and a more progressive nation.”

Ms. Upasana also emphasized the urgent need to prioritize mental well-being, expand access to inclusive healthcare, and promote community-based preventive care. Reflecting on the evolving vision of Apollo Hospitals, she said:
“What we envisioned 40 years ago—to bring the best healthcare to India—is no longer enough. Today, our vision is to keep people out of hospitals. Preventive care is our new goal.”
The session resonated strongly with attendees, who gained valuable perspectives on the intersection of wellness, leadership, and societal impact. FLO Hyderabad continues to drive such conversations, reinforcing its commitment to empowering women through thought leadership, innovation, and collective action.
