Dr. Pravin Dumbre’s Pratibimb Receives Prestigious State-Level Recognition

Renowned writer and essayist Dr. Pravin Dumbre, hailing from Otur, Pune, was recently honored with the Sant Gadage Maharaj State-Level Lalit Lekhan AwardDr. Pravin Dumbre’s Pratibimb Receives Prestigious State-Level Recognition for his thought-provoking essay collection Pratibimb. The award ceremony took place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Vedashastrottajak Sabhagruh in Sadashiv Peth, Pune.
The prestigious gathering was presided over by Jagdish Ohol, acclaimed author of Jag Badalnara Manus, with senior literary figure Hanumant Padwal gracing the occasion as the chief guest. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ramdas Kute, Chairman of Indu Pharma, Pune.

Organized to commemorate the ninth anniversary of the Sant Gadage Maharaj Vichar Manch, Otur, and the second anniversary of the Gyanjyot Foundation, Manjari, Pune, the event served as a vibrant celebration of literary excellence across Maharashtra. In addition to book launches, the ceremony featured the presentation of several distinguished state-level awards in genres ranging from poetry and ghazals to biographies, children's literature, and essays.
Among the highlights were honors such as the Gyanjyot Kavya Gaurav, Krantisurya Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Kavyaratna, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Kavyaratna, recognizing outstanding contributions to Marathi literature and social thought.
Two major literary works were unveiled during the event:
Astitva 'Ti', a compelling poetry collection edited by Kanchan Moon
Manavateche Pujari, a thoughtful essay compilation by veteran writer Subha Londhe
The meticulously planned event was spearheaded by Ranjit Pawar, Founder and Working President of Sant Gadage Maharaj Vichar Manch; Kh. R. Malwe, President; Kavita Kale, Founder President of Gyanjyot Foundation; and Kanchan Moon, Founder and Working President.
The ceremony saw the presence of several dignitaries and educationists, including Raghunath Kamble, Principal Sandeep Satpute of Vimalabai Lukand Mahavidyalaya, Gultekdi, Rekhatai Phale, Shubhangi Shinde, and Balasaheb Kale. The program began with a ceremonial tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sant Gadage Maharaj, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, followed by Jyotsna Kale’s heartfelt recitation of the Preamble to the Indian Constitution.
Earlier in the morning, a poetry symposium (Kavya Sammelan) was held from 10 to 11 a.m., featuring performances by ten poets. The session was moderated by Pratima Kale, with noted ghazal poet Balasaheb Giri presiding.
The literary celebration was introduced by Kanchan Moon, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ranjit Pawar. The event concluded on a high note, anchored with grace and eloquence by celebrated Thane-based writer Sanjay Gawande.
