- What Influences My Writing ? - Kerri Jesmer
Hi, I am Kerri Jesmer who is extremely grateful to Team Stay Featured for publishing this short write up. I’ve always written poems and stories from the time I was old enough to put words on paper. I’m not sure I was aware of what brought those words to me until I was in my sixth or seventh year of school. Then my older sister gave me a Ray Bradbury book to read titled, “I Sing the Body Electric”, filled with short stories he had written. And I fell in love with my first author. I read everything I could get my hands on by him. Later I discovered Orson Scott Card and C. S. Lewis, among others. What an incredible gift reading is, allowing us to travel the universe and everywhere in between. And what a joy it is to be a writer! I love seeing something that influences me and to create a story from a single word, a picture, an overheard comment or something I see when out for a walk, driving down a street, watching children play in a park. I’ve even created a story from the title of a book. One such story was from, A Raisin in the Sun, by Lorraine Hansberry. From that, a distant cousin had mentioned that as his mom had aged, he’d started to tease her about being an ‘old raisin’ because of her many wrinkles. She’d been a heavy smoker and a sun worshipper who tanned frequently and her skin suffered the consequences. It wasn’t meant to be mean and she never took it that way. But I used the title of Ms Hansberry’s book and my cousin’s story to write a story of an old woman who had worked in the fields of her family farm her entire life in the early 1900s and as she sat and told her life’s story to her grandchildren, one of them noticed her face was almost as wrinkled as the raisins he was eating. The world is filled with stories waiting to be told by someone who can see it. I’m grateful I have been blessed to be one of those storytellers. if you want to follow me on Facebook, here's the link https://www.facebook.com/kerri.jesmer/
- Level up your practice- Linkedin Feed From Arunima Jha
Hello, this is Arunima Jha who is extremely thankful to Team Stay Featured and SMMH for publishing this. I don't have a usual week. For me, client management and work management is the utmost important thing to do. The basic premise is to cultivate an abundance mindset. There's always more and therefore we should share more ideas and give more to society. Some lawyers for example don't share much information with their juniors because of the fear that the junior might take away the Client. That's a whole lot different spectrum. So by sharing your knowledge are you helping your competitors? I mean are these national security secrets? I mean this has to be applied in some way. I do not have the perspective of selfishness or have a tribute to general practice. I believe in helping other lawyers by sharing my knowledge and by helping them become better lawyers if I can. This scarcity mindset happens too often and that's scary. If you have this mindset that you have to do everything on your own that you will not be able to grow because you will be too focused on your personal growth. You need to have a vision and act on it to make it possible. To have a healthy mindset, approach it every day. One of the things that I struggle with is that other people get accolades or success that maybe I don't have. Perhaps I don't even need but that's an insecurity that I have. So one of the things that I practice is not to compare myself with someone else. Overcoming the fear of rejection. I don't like being rejected. While some people are okay with rejection, I am not geared that way - "accepting being told no". So, it's choice and understanding that even if you fail at something, you need to assess it in a way to understand what caused it. Sometimes you can do all the right things and still fail because some things are beyond your control. So focus on the process and not the outcome. For example, a jury may pass an order in your favour but a different jury on a different day may come out with a different verdict. The same is very much true in cases of cases where the outcome is not in your favour. Another learning is that you have to own up to your mistakes. When you screw up, own up. That maintains the trust of your partners and clients. You have to decide your priorities. It's all about choices. Certainly in the last five months, a lot of things have changed and WFH has become the norm. A lot of us are still experiencing the flexibility of working from home. For some, it's non-functional but for me, it works. So it's a matter of prioritizing and the act of continuing to keep making such choices. Set your Client's expectations and then reinforce them through your behaviour. For example, if you say that you're okay to work on a contract on an emergency basis and then you don't, it creates a disconnect. That would remove so much frustration from the people and they wouldn't be angry if you don't. if you really liked this article, you can follow me on my Instagram account with this link https://instagram.com/arunimajsharma?r=nametag You can also follow me on Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/in/jharunima

The oils are sufficient to last an entire month of daily use. Here’s a quick guide to integrated Gandusha for a customised oral detox Time Morning, empty stomach. When Can be used before or after brushing the teeth. Followed by Rinsing with warm water, or can be left just as is. Can you swallow? Never, always spit it out. It's laden with microbes. Yet She did it through this book. The thing takes time and not a little effort when you're explaining about the shading of meaning with true colours of life a smartly encompassed buildup of multiple possibilities as well as an understanding of experiences within few pages Finally, the wait was over when she came up with a book that includes not only lines but also meaningful illustrations and conversation with oneself till the end. As an Author, She leads by example when it's important to get past being scared so you can learn new things this is pic posted with prior permission of an author Disha Tasgaonkar featuring herself It's me, it's you, it's us after all everything is relatable and it's all set to Lost in the labyrinth of love Lost in the Labyrinth of Love - It's not just a set of poems. The Important highlight of this poetry collection is every attempt is just out of comfort zone. Author Disha Tasgaonkar crafted the flow without disturbing the reader's mind and choices. Some pieces like "A Lost Childhood " and " I am done pretending "is some of the most challenging attempts where she opted to write poetry about the same instead of narrating some regular short stories. It's always difficult to write complex emotions in real-time without any prejudice or grudges . this is one of the Key USPs of "Lost in the Labyrinth of Love". "And That's Okay " is the piece where Disha managed to surpass high expectations and be nothing at all like we expected before like any other book. - Today I wanna talk about failures : Linkedin Feed by Arunima Jha
If your work is helping grow people more business, it's the most satisfying feeling. Continuing with my journey of being an attorney one thing that I have been able to do is an expansion of my network. But today I wanna talk about failures. I have had some massive failures and I am sure there are many coming in the future. But you cannot be paralyzed by fear. It's your inner intuition that you gotta follow. That little voice in your head. Success is not really the opposite of failure. So what's success? For me, it's having people believe in me and most importantly you have to believe in your work and yourself esp. when you're pushed into unusual circumstances. Just like that timid clownfish’s son who went missing, so he went on a journey to find Nemo. Jack won a ticket to board the Titanic, where he met Rose (and the impending disaster). Frodo Baggins is called upon by Gandalf to embark on a quest, so he left the Shire to destroy the One Ring. Just saying. There is so much money, time, and equity for a legal practitioner. Yet there are multiple facets to it and the most important one is identity. When I first started my law practice, I kind of followed what felt right to me. When we think that every single decision that we take is working in our favor, it actually helps. None of the work goes to waste. You have to be certain about the results that you want to create. You have to challenge your own self-doubts. To have ambition feels greedy and we can talk ourselves down and try to feel content. The reality is you can be grateful and supportive at the same time and that's the beauty of working towards something. There's a subconscious belief that money is evil but what if it's not? So when we change our mindset, then everything changes. Sometimes I feel others are more challenged and more disciplined than me and that's the self-doubt. How presumptuous am I? How dumb is the thought? Is that going to stop me from doing what I wanna do? So what is the standard of winning and because I couldn't define it, after a lot of introspection and self-assessment I realize that I needed insight and not information? Insight is what you learn from someone else's mistake and that's an investment. I have learned to practice belief in myself. I have learned to navigate through my own mistakes. We wanna see certainty so quickly but that happens with time and with conviction in your mind first. Be the truest version of yourself and find your real goal. The beginning is always the toughest but you have to create your own path. When you do things that are not proven, people will always question but do it irrespective. - Pushkar Sharma - A Promising Cricketer Ready for International Circuit
At merely 20 plus age, one Indian talent pops up in the cricket world, who has been stealing the attention of viewers, analysts, and cricketers by his performances, namely Pushkar Sharma. This young left-hander is well known for his consistent performance as an opener and rightly honoured with the captaincy for his current team, Ruaraka Sports Club, Kenya. A true Captain The promising young star has already stunned cricket analysts and blew the minds of cricket lovers with his brilliant performances. Earlier this year, the left-hander scored a brilliant 167 run to register a win against Ngara Cricket Club. This brilliance was followed by a valiant 144 run inning against SCLPS A in a game of NPCA super 50, which also helped the Ruaraka team to register a win. The southpaw continues to dominate the Kenya cricket circuit with his excellent batting, Pushkar’s 18 centuries and 1 double ton so far denote that very well. The Mumbai-lad has been impressing by his consistency in the profession, as he recently scored 577 runs in just 8 games for Ruaraka Sports club at a batting average of 96.17. contextually, Pushkar scored a brilliant 135 (not out) against Swamibapa Sports Club on 19th September 2021. The Indian-born scored the century at a strike rate of 97.83. However, the inning was special for the young star, as wickets were falling from opposite ends in a regular interval. Pushkar added after this match that the century proves to be a very satisfying and probably the best performance from his bat, as the unbeaten 135 not only helped Ruaraka to secure a comfortable win against Swamibapa but also the Mumbai-lad had an emotional point with this as well. Pushkar revealed after the match that he dedicates his century to his mother his mother is sick, and his sister informed him that their mother was admitted to hospital on Saturday due to typhoid. Inning analysis Pushkar's 135 runs proved that the young star denies breaking down even in high-pressure matches. His mental strength is ready to digest even the critical situations of international cricket. The India-origin scored his 3rd century of the season in a completely dominating fashion. Statistics show that, as Pushkar reached the century with 17 fours and 1 six. The strike rate of this inning was 97.83 as he finished the inning with 135 runs from 138 balls. The batting effort becomes more special, as Pushkar never ran for his achievements. He played his own attacking game as a professional team player. His 108 runs partnership for the fourth wicket defines that to the cricket world. Pushkar contributed to this match by his bowling, as he finished his 10 over slot with 1 wicket with an economy of 5.8. Great learner of the game Furthermore, the 135-run inning from Pushkar also evaluates his understanding of the game and great learning attitude. The southpaw even added in his after-match interview that, in previous matches, his team has been defeated by opponent teams despite his centuries. This generates criticism for the captain. However, Pushkar denied reacting to that criticism, rather he learned from his previous failures, and his confidence and dedication towards the game pay off. The consistency and aggression from the southpaw already attract the attention of cricket lovers from across the world. Besides the batting brilliance, mature captaincy, and ability to leading from the front leaves a strong impact on the cricket analysts. The statistics show that the future of this Mumbai-lad is bright. The young star proves to be a great team player for IPL franchises soon.
- Confessions of an Instagram Influencer: Arunima Jha
“Always dress like you’re going to see your worst enemy.” Since I was little, I remember stealing my mother’s magazines and looking at all the models in the magazines, with those stunning dresses and incredible looks. Even though when I was a kid, I always knew fashion and beauty were a part of me. I believe fashion is another form of art and an amazing way to express ourselves. I guess it’s quite an interesting story about how I became a fashion blogger on Instagram. I used to follow various bloggers on Instagram but I never thought that I can exhibit my life (also my lifestyle) that much. By exhibition, I mean to show my day to day routine, where I go, what I do and what I wear. I was always restrained from that perspective but I still wanted to learn something new, perhaps spend a little less time with my nose on the screen. Even though, I was doing well in my legal profession yet I was missing something. I needed to dedicate part of my time to one of the things I like to do: blogging. That’s how I created my blog arunimajsharma on Instagram during Covid-19, which is actually a fashion and lifestyle blog. I’ll be honest, during lockdown maintaining a positive mindset was necessary. With limited contact with anyone from the outside world, I actually found it therapeutic to launch my Instagram blog and share content toward a more day-to-day glimpse of what my life is like. I know 2020 will be looked upon as one of the most challenging years in our time, but I hope to look back on it as the year that helped me overcome a lot of my personal and professional inhibitions. So more than a year after here I am, sharing my personal tips and tricks with my followers. I could never imagine that I would be able to get this kind of support that I would be able to qualify to be tagged as an influencer! It still feels like a dream sometimes. An influencer to me is somebody who can take their platform and inspire people around. I believe I have managed to create a voice more valuable than any online adverts. For someone like me, who loves online shopping, I don’t think that I would ever buy a product without reading or watching several reviews on it. This wasn’t an option available back in the day without the internet. I believe today we have a much better accessible medium with of course a streamlined cause. Also, I think for visual content like I’m creating for the fashion & lifestyle, Instagram is where people are searching for that. I have worked successfully with so many brands, and this has helped me get new followers and try out some incredible products. I have also gotten to associate with big brands like Mrs Femina India. My key to success was persistence. I have put so much work into this blog. There are days when I literally work 14 hours, and I rarely take a day off. Even when I am on a “holiday” I’m needed to take pictures and film. Honestly, even when I am travelling, I am constantly creating my content. I definitely push myself to the limit comfort-wise with some of my content. Yes, it’s sometimes tiring but the results are almost always worth it. I guess we don’t give enough credit where credit is due. Most of us work so hard and become photo editors, video editors, marketers, photographers and editors all rolled into one person. This is not easy and therefore I applaud every individual out there who are constantly supporting their partners. One thing that I have learnt in this life is that when life gives you every reason to be negative, think of all the reasons to be positive. There’s always someone who has it worse. I have inspired people through personal topics like anxiety and mental well-being which was near and dear to my heart. I feel like this topic bonds so many people together, and it is an ongoing battle that we can motivate each other to be the best versions of ourselves. One thing that I always advocate is that just because someone looks happy on social media doesn’t mean they actually are. So, I encourage everyone to pick up the phone and check in on the people around them. It could save their life. Being kind, grateful, and always remember that my job as a digital creator is to give. My job is to serve my audience. This is how I have grown, become stronger, and I believe this is how people achieve whatever it is they have set their heart to. In the end, I would only like to say that - Be constant. Focus on what you really like, set small goals and enjoy every victory. if you really liked this article, you can follow me on my Instagram account on this link https://instagram.com/arunimajsharma?r=nametag
