Shining Voices of PGEMS: State-Level Elocution Competition Triumph

On 12th January 2026, K. J. Somaiya’s Shri Sharada English Medium School, Kopargaon, hosted a State-Level Elocution Competition to commemorate Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and Rajmata Jijau Birth Anniversary. The event aimed to promote oratory skills and inspire students with the ideals and values of these iconic personalities.


The competition attracted 22 schools from across the state, with students showcasing confidence, clarity of thought, and effective communication through their speeches.

The school was represented by Bhalekar Aaryah Vikram and Shaikh Arshin Aslam of Std 9, who delivered compelling speeches on the topics:

  1. India at Hundred: Vision for the Future

  2. Great Leaders Inspire Us Not by Force but by Example


Both students were awarded the Consolation Prize, which included a Trophy, Certificate, and a Cash Prize of ₹1,000/-, reflecting their dedication, preparation, and the guidance of their mentor, Shobha Gagre.


The event proved to be a valuable learning experience and a moment of pride for the school. PGEMS school management, along with dignitaries including State Water Resources Minister Shri Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Former Zilla Parishad President Mrs. Shalinitai Vikhe Patil, Sugar Factory Chairman Dr. Sujaydada Vikhe Patil, and CEO Pravara Gramin Shikshan Sanstha Dr. Susmita Vikhe Patil, congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in future competitions.


The achievement underscores the school’s commitment to nurturing confidence, eloquence, and ambition among its students.
