Raising Thinkers, Not Just Toppers: A Teen’s Blueprint for Future-Ready Education
Pune, 20 December 2025:
In a thought-provoking celebration of youth-led authorship and future-focused education, two books on nurturing innovation in children—Inculcating an Innovative Mindset in Children and Inculcating an Innovative Mindset in Children – Journal—authored by 16-year-old innovator Kushal Khemani, were launched on 20 December 2025 at Symbiosis College, Pune.
Published by Mind Spirit Works Publishing, the books were unveiled in the presence of an esteemed audience comprising speakers, educators and invited guests attending a curated intellectual forum themed “Reimagining Tomorrow.” The gathering reflected a shared commitment to rethinking how curiosity, independent thinking and originality are nurtured in children from an early age.
Innovation Begins Before Formal Education
At the heart of both books lies a clear and compelling message: innovation is not a capability introduced later in life—it is a mindset cultivated early.
The first book, Inculcating an Innovative Mindset in Children, speaks directly to young readers. Moving away from rigid academic constructs or outcome-driven success narratives, it encourages children to trust their ideas, question assumptions and value originality. Through relatable reflections and lived experiences, the book reinforces the idea that meaningful progress begins with independent thought rather than conformity.
The companion volume, Inculcating an Innovative Mindset in Children – Journal, translates this philosophy into daily practice. Designed as a 21-day guided journal for children and young adolescents (ages 9–18), it offers prompts, activities, reflections and games that help develop curiosity, confidence, problem-solving ability and self-awareness through everyday experiences.

Together, the book and journal form a practical framework—one shaping belief and identity, the other reinforcing action and habit—making them relevant for families, schools and learning communities alike.

His work spans education, technology, and sustainability, with a strong focus on inclusive design, real-world problem solving, and empowering future-ready learners worldwide.

A Launch with a Larger Message
The launch was not merely about introducing two new books—it was a statement about protecting curiosity, honouring originality, and reimagining education for the future. Authored by a teenager and aimed at children, the books reinforce a powerful message:
innovation is not something to be taught later in life—it is something to be nurtured early.
And sometimes, the most compelling voices calling for that change belong to the young themselves.
The launch highlighted a shared message across disciplines: innovation is not an outcome of pressure or competition, but a result of curiosity, freedom, and early encouragement.
