- Kalpataru Ltd and Kalpataru Projects International Ltd Welcome RBI’s Balanced Approach in Monetary Policy
Mumbai, October 3, 2025 — Kalpataru Ltd and Kalpataru Projects International Ltd today shared their views on the Reserve Bank of India’s decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.50%, underscoring its significance for sustaining economic growth and investor confidence. Mr. Parag Munot, MD, Kalpataru Ltd , said: “The RBI’s decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.50% reflects a balanced approach to supporting economic growth while keeping inflation in check. The previous rate cuts have already improved liquidity. Such policy continuity strengthens investor confidence, encourages long-term investments, and ensures sustainable growth in residential and commercial real estate, even amid global uncertainties.” Mr. Parag Munot, MD, Kalpataru Ltd Mr. Manish Mohnot, MD, Kalpataru Projects International Ltd , added: “The RBI’s decision to maintain the repo rate at 5.50% reflects a prudent and balanced approach to control inflation and support economic growth, amidst the continuing global uncertainties and volatile market conditions. With 100 basis points already reduced earlier this year, the central bank is rightly allowing the effects of rate cuts to percolate through the economy. This cautious stance not only safeguards India’s growth momentum but also helps anchor the rupee’s stability. For infrastructure and capital-intensive sectors, such policy continuity builds confidence, enabling Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms to plan long-term investments with greater clarity and resilience.” Mr. Manish Mohnot, MD, Kalpataru Projects International Ltd , Background: The Reserve Bank of India has kept the repo rate unchanged at 5.50%, marking the second consecutive pause after a cumulative 100 basis point cut earlier this year. This decision comes in the backdrop of global uncertainties including new U.S. tariffs on Indian imports, H1-B visa issues, GST reforms, and geopolitical tensions. RBI has lowered its CPI inflation forecast to 2.8% from 3.1% in August, citing strong consumer demand and GST rate cuts. GDP growth projections for FY26 have been revised upward to 6.8% from 6.5%, reflecting confidence in India’s economic resilience despite global headwinds.
- From Interfaces to Impact: Krishan Gupta’s Playbook for BFSI UX
Who is Krishan Gupta? For over a decade, Krishan Gupta has been at the forefront of reshaping how India experiences digital finance. As Head of Design Strategy at Them Consulting, he partners with leading banks, NBFCs, and fintechs to convert digital adoption into measurable growth. With India’s bank credit forecast to cross ₹20 trillion by FY26 (ICRA) and UPI volumes already exceeding 13 billion transactions monthly (NPCI, 2025), Krishan sees design not as decoration but as a business lever that drives trust, retention, and revenue. His journey began with India’s early digital trading and wealth platforms, when the language of “UX” was barely present in boardrooms. What he learned then continues to shape his practice today: an interface is only the surface - the true value lies in the journey beneath, where every tap, choice, and nudge either accelerates adoption or erodes confidence . Them Consulting: BFSI Growth Through UX-Led Transformation T hem sit at the intersection of UX strategy and BFSI growth, helping leading financial institutions turn forecasts into measurable outcomes. Under Krishan’s leadership, the firm has delivered game-changing transformations for PayU, Motilal Oswal, NSE, ICICI, DotPe, NPCI, and more, shaping how millions of Indians transact, invest, and trust digital platforms. At the core of these partnerships lies a belief: user journeys must be emotion-aware. From designing trust cues for first-time investors to creating seamless trading flows for seasoned users, Them ensures platforms anticipate behaviors and reduce friction. This translates to higher adoption, significant retention uplift, and revenue acceleration. By rebuilding funnels in UX and UI, Them turn digital products into growth engines. That means reducing drop-offs during KYC and onboarding, simplifying complex wealth products into digestible experiences, and designing retention hooks that keep users engaged. The result? Financial platforms that don’t just look good, but perform - driving loyalty, scale, and sustainable revenue growth. Krishan summarizes it best: “Our work isn’t about cosmetic design. It’s about building journeys that turn digital trust into business impact. That’s how we’ve helped BFSI leaders move from projections to performance.” Principles That Shape His Practice Across industries, Krishan has distilled a set of design principles that guide his work: Start with behavior, not buttons. “A user doesn’t wake up wanting to ‘navigate a flow.’ They wake up wanting to pay a bill, invest, or learn. Anchor design in human behavior first.” Simplicity is strategy. “Minimalism is not about fewer screens. It is about fewer doubts. Every extra field, every unnecessary step introduces hesitation. Remove it.” Design for growth, not aesthetics. “Experiences that reduce friction and build confidence will always outperform cosmetic polish.” Journey, not page. “Designers often obsess about screens. I tell them: think about what comes before the click, and what comes after. That’s where business lives.” Advice for Upcoming Designers Krishan’s counsel to young UX/UI professionals goes beyond tools or trends: Learn the business language. “If you can’t explain how your design will impact revenue or retention, you won’t be heard at the table.” Study human psychology. “Design is applied behavioral science. Read Kahneman before you read Figma tutorials.” Never design in isolation. “Talk to compliance teams, customer service reps, and frontline staff. They hold insights analytics dashboards that can’t show you.” Build for scale. “A prototype that delights ten users is easy. Designing flows that millions can trust under regulatory pressure is the real game.” The Industry Shift Globally, between 65 and 73 percent of online adults now expect to complete any financial task from a mobile app. That expectation is reshaping banks everywhere: journeys must feel seamless across app, web, and branch. At Them, Krishan’s teams watch these shifts closely, AI-driven personalization, real-time analytics, conversational assistants, and the rise of warm, humanized digital voices. Yet, he warns against chasing shiny features: “Don’t add gamification just because a competitor has it. Ask: Will this actually build trust? Will it reduce friction? Otherwise, it’s noise.” Making Finance Human Again Colleagues describe Krishan less as a designer and more as an architect of trust . His work consistently demonstrates that good design is not cosmetic; it changes the P&L. That belief has earned him a seat at the leadership table in BFSI strategy conversations. “These aren’t cosmetic wins,” he says. “They change the P&L. That’s why design deserves a seat in the boardroom.” Looking Ahead As BFSI enters 2025, driven by AI and mobile-first expectations, Krishan sees the role of design expanding further. At Them, his mandate is clear: to help financial institutions not only look digital, but truly become digital-first organizations that customers trust. “The designer of the future is not just drawing interfaces,” Krishan says. “They are orchestrating ecosystems of trust, regulation, technology, and human behavior. If you want to thrive here, treat design not as craft but as consequence.” For Krishan Gupta, that conviction has defined his career, and it continues to shape how Them Consulting helps banks, fintechs, and NBFCs navigate their next phase of digital growth. The contest encourages citizens to pause, capture, and celebrate Hyderabad’s crossroads of art and identity . Every citizen of the city must explore the city before they venture out to explore the state, country and foreign countries, said Prakash Ammanbolu, Chairman of the Tourism Committee. Create authentic, people-driven content that inspires travel and provides visibility to weekend getaway promoters.; Help citizens discover new options for leisure, culture, and adventure. - Valvoline Cummins India Launches India’s First Full Synthetic CK4 Engine Oil for Next-Gen CV Diesel Engines
Hyderabad, September 2025: For more than 150 years, Valvoline has built a reputation as a pioneer in engine lubrication, from creating the world’s first trademarked engine oil brand to setting new performance benchmarks for fleets worldwide. Carrying forward this spirit of originality, Valvoline Cummins India has announced the launch of All Fleet Full Synthetic CK4, India’s first full synthetic CK4 engine oil in the Heavy Duty Engine Oil space. This industry-first innovation underscores Valvoline’s legacy of delivering cutting-edge, category-defining and industry-first solutions that support the evolving demands of India’s commercial vehicle sector. Cleaner Engines, Breakthrough Wear Protection Specially engineered for modern heavy-duty diesel engines, the new oil provides 60% cleaner pistons and 60% better wear protection compared to a market-standard oil meeting CK-4 specifications. It is suitable for all commercial vehicles meeting BSVI emission standards and is backwards compatible with BSIV, a huge relief for fleet operators, enabling them to use India’s first full Synthetic oil for all engine platforms. Its high viscosity index ensures that the oil retains its optimal thickness even at extreme temperatures, both hot and cold, enabling smooth flow and reduced wear across a wide operating range. It’s better oxidation control ensures that the engine is protected from oxidation under extreme operating temperatures. These are essential for commercial vehicles operating in India’s harsh and varied driving conditions. With excellent low-temperature properties, the oil rapidly reaches every component of the engine, even in cold start conditions, minimising metal-to-metal contact and providing vital protection from the moment the engine fires up. This ensures reduced friction, lower startup wear, and improved reliability during cold engine starts, a common challenge for fleets operating in North India’s colder regions. Cost Effectiveness Meets Longevity The lower volatility of the product, resulting in reduced evaporation losses, hence lower oil consumption, combined with its strong oxidation stability,y makes it a cost-effective and long-lasting choice for fleet operators. The robust formulation also helps the oil resist degradation over extended service intervals, ensuring long-term engine protection and cleaner engine internals. Innovation for Modern Diesel Engines Valvoline’s CK4 Full Synthetic is also fully compatible with modern after-treatment systems such as EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), and DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst), thanks to its low SAPS (Sulfated Ash, Phosphorus, Sulfur) formulation. It helps prevent filter blockage, maintains emissions compliance, and supports peak engine performance across new-generation and legacy commercial vehicles. Speaking on the launch, Mr Sandeep Kalia, Managing Director, Valvoline Cummins Pvt. Ltd. , said, “India is a key market for Valvoline, and we remain focused on bringing advanced, reliable solutions that support its evolving commercial vehicle landscape. The launch of Valvoline CK-4 Full Synthetic, the first of its kind in the country, underscores our commitment to innovation built around real-world performance. Designed for demanding operating conditions, this product offers cleaner engines, longer drain intervals, and stronger wear protection, ultimately helping fleets reduce downtime and improve overall efficiency.” Valvoline’s Full Synthetic CK-4 is now available through Valvoline Cummins India’s nationwide distribution network, including authorised dealers, fleet workshops, and commercial vehicle service centres.
