Loni, August 21, 2026: With the inspiring message “Small Hands for the Best Future,” Pravara Girls English Medium School (PGEMS), Loni, took a meaningful step towards environmental conservation by organizing a Kitchen Garden Project on Thursday, August 21, 2026.

The initiative was designed to give students hands-on experience in gardening while creating awareness about organic farming, nutritious food, healthy lifestyles, and environmental sustainability. Through the activity, students enthusiastically participated in cultivating plants and learned how simple, sustainable practices can make a positive difference in everyday life.

The programme was conducted in the presence of Mr. Randhe, Kendrapramukh, Loni Cluster; Mr. Gorakshnath Chavan Sir, Kendra Mukhyadhyapak, Loni; and Mr. Sarjerao Ghodke, Panchayat Samiti, Education Department, Rahata, along with the dedicated staff members of PGEMS.

Highlighting the significance of the project, Dr. Renu Patil said that such initiatives help inculcate in students the values of organic farming, healthy eating, and environmental conservation. The project also encouraged students to develop a closer connection with nature and understand the importance of growing fresh and chemical-free food.
The initiative was warmly appreciated and supported by Dr. Susmita Vikhe Patil, CEO, Pravara Rural Education Society; Mrs. Leelavati Sarode, Director, School Education; and Dr. Pradeep Dighe, Director, Higher Education and Non-Technical Department.
The Kitchen Garden Project stands as a wonderful example of learning beyond the classroom. By nurturing plants with their own hands, PGEMS students are not only growing a garden but also cultivating responsibility, sustainability, and hope for a greener future.
