Heritage International School Inspires Students with Historical Film Chhaava

Heritage International School recently organized a special screening of the historical film Chhaava on the 24th and 25th of February 2025, offering students an immersive experience of the life and sacrifices of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. This initiative was led by the school's management team, including Mr Krishna Bhilare (Founder President), Mrs Sangita Bhilare (Founder Secretary), Mr Kunal Bhilare (Managing Director), Dr Renu Patil (Principal), and Mrs Yashaswini Bhilare (Admin Manager).

Chhaava, a 2025 historical action film based on Shivaji Sawant’s celebrated novel, portrays the extraordinary courage, vision, and resilience of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film provides a compelling depiction of the Maratha empire’s struggles, highlighting the sacrifices made in the pursuit of Swaraj and the impact of war on society.

The screening served as a valuable educational experience, deepening students’ understanding of history and igniting a sense of pride in the rich heritage of the Marathas. It particularly emphasized the often-overlooked role of women during times of war and the hardships faced by families amid political turmoil.

The students were deeply moved by the film’s powerful storytelling and expressed their admiration for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj with a heartfelt Shivgarjana, honouring their legacy with great enthusiasm.
