This Independence Day, India witnessed a unique celebration of patriotism, women’s creativity, and the love for food as 80 women home chefs came together online to create a World Record with Tricolour Sandwiches.

The initiative was headed by Chef Lata Kapoor of Lataa’s Kitchen, in collaboration with Team TOPS. Bringing together 80 passionate women home chefs from across India, the virtual event saw participants come LIVE to celebrate the nation by creating vibrant Tricolour Sandwiches using TOPS sauces.

What began as a culinary celebration transformed into a record-breaking moment, with women from different parts of the country joining hands virtually for a shared purpose. The event beautifully showcased how food can become a medium for connection, creativity, and celebration.

Chef Lata Kapoor spearheaded the initiative, bringing together a community of home chefs and turning the idea into a memorable achievement. With the support of TOPS as the brand partner, the initiative combined culinary creativity with a strong message of unity.

More than a World Record, the event celebrated India, women, and the love for food. It was a reminder that meaningful milestones can begin right at home—and when passionate individuals come together, even a simple sandwich can become part of a historic celebration.
