Sub Summit on AI and Cybersecurity, a curtain raiser to Global AI Summit 2024, held on Wednesday at FTCCI in the city   It was organized by AI Global Summit, Emerging Technologies of Govt of Telangana, Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence, FTCCI, World Trade Centre, Shamshabad, and PentaQube.   Harshavardhan, Superintendent of Police, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, Hyderabad was the chief guest.  Addressing the 150-plus gathering he said the concept of artificial intelligence is old, maybe a decade or even beyond but caught on high speed in the recent past.  The proposed two-day AI Summit which will kick off tomorrow will help showcase Telangana state's leadership in cyber security. Without support, even powerful women fall into the silence that follows a sexual assault. The number of women and girls coming into contact with the criminal justice system, as victims, witnesses and prisoners, has increased in the past 20 years. However, greater efforts are still needed to support women to access justice and ensure that criminal justice institutions fully respond to their needs. The way to liberation from such dastardly acts of rape and increasing crime rates across the globe can only be stopped when there is a paradigm shift in the mindset of many. The preconceived notion that anything can happen in this country and one can scott-free like a firefly, is in actuality the root cause of germinating such ideas that the law will somehow give refuge to such perpetrators of crime for years until the final verdict is pronounced. It is high time to revise criminal laws and emphasise on very serious consequences if such unimaginable barbaric acts of unimaginable trauma are committed.
