  • Rajvardhan Hangargekar- The star of U-19 to play under MS Dhoni

In 1983, an Indian pacer who consistently bowled with the speed of 140+, and hit the balls out of the park while batting won Men in Blue the first World cup, breaking the West Indian domination. After the legendary Kapil Dev, however, India failed to produce an all-rounder who could bowl with consistent 140+ speeds, as well as score some crucial runs with the bat. India did witness fast bowling all rounder s in the form of Irfan Pathan, Sourav Ganguly, Hardik Pandya, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, but their consistent speeds were less. It took India a long time when in the U-19 world cup 2022, Rajvardhan Hangargekar grabbed the attention of the cricketing world with his consistent speed, disciplined line length and the long sixes he hit. Simon Doull was so impressed with the youngster, that right in the first match of the world cup, he referred to Hangargekar as one of the rarest Indian bowlers who could bowl with consistent speeds and great discipline. Watching him, Irfan Pathan predicted that IPL franchises would look forward to having Hangargekar in their team and that he had a good chance to go above his base price. And his predictions were turned right when the U-19 stalwart was selected in one of the most consistent and successful teams of IPL. He entered the whistle podu family at 1.5 crore INR. It was a very special moment for Hangargekar, whose father was a huge fan of CSK. On the one hand, he was extremely happy to be a part of the team his father loved the most, on the other, he was left teary-eyed to see that his father was no more to witness this alive. Hangargekar, who lost his father in 2020 due to covid said " I'm sure wherever my father is, he will be extremely proud to see me play under the guidance of his favourite player for his favourite team". Hailing from Tuljapur, a town known for its religious heritage in Maharashtra, the youngster was a renowned name in the tennis ball leagues in his town. Fortunately, he was spotted by a few people who were impressed with his performance. In the 2016-17 session, the strength and conditioning coach Tejas Metapurkar was impressed him when Hangargekar was playing U-16 for Maharashtra. The former had a latter huge impact on the latter, as he told him to shift to Pune for better fitness sessions, but when the youngster faced later huge a few issues, Metapurkar let him stay at his residence in Pune. Metapurkar always saw the dedication of Rajvardhan and requested Mohan Jadhav(who also coached Ruturaj Gaikwad) to coach him. Initially, when both of them checked the speed of Hangargekar, he clocked 127, but in the year to follow, he increased it to 10 kmph more, which impressed both of them yet again. Continuing his impressive run, he went on to play for Maharashtra senior team in the domestic circuit, and the Men in Blue U-19 team. Apart from his bowling, he is a pinch hitter who can send the ball back 20 rows back in the stands. When U-19 cricket team members of India were asked who can hit the longest sixes, most of them mentioned Hangargekar. His contribution to the Asia cup was great. Against Pakistan, when India was in trouble, he came in and hit some crunchy shots to reach a decent total. In the encounter against Ireland in the World cup too, he hit 5 sixes in quick succession to power Men in Blue to 300+ runs. He is one of those players who contribute to the team in some form or the other always. CSK have loved players like these. Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar and now Hangargekar, they have loved to have Indian fast bowling all-rounders. His addition has proved to be a boon to them increasing their batting depth till number 10 if they play him in the eleven. After playing for Maharashtra in the yellow jersey together, he will get a chance to play with Ruturaj Gaikwad in the most loved and most popular yellow jersey in franchise cricket. One doesn't know when he will get a chance to play, but players like him, Bawa, Yash Dhull getting selected by the IPL teams is something to watch. Everyone would be keen to see Hangargekar prove his worth both as a bowler as well as a batter, and if he does, maybe in a few years to come, he just might be the star India was looking forward to. Education beyond syllabus is crucial for the current and upcoming generations as theirs is a world that's constantly changing and growing. We need to understand the several parameters of how to create the right kind of education and how to deliver it the best way possible. As for me, I was not born a writer. My basic education is in computer science. I had a passion for writing but I always thought of it as my hobby and never imagined that it could become my full-time career To become a published author, I had to polish my writing skills and learn about the entire process. That's how after three years of hard work, my debut novel One Step Closer was finally published. I hope to contribute to this mission in every way possible. • First series win for India in 2022, and Redemption from South Africa series

The West Indies tour of India didn't go as per plan for the West Indies . But it was a confidence booster to the Indian team which won their first series of 2022. The year the first month of the year was disheartening for the fans, with losing the two test matches and eventually the first chance to win a test series in South Africa, followed by being whitewashed by the Protea team. Fortunately for the Indian team, the series with the Caribbean team brought the series of victories back. Both the series are incomparable, with the Protean one as overseas series, and the Caribbean as the home advantage for Indians. But considering the domination of Caribbean players in shorter formats, the series win was made special. In both, the series, unexpected happened. Both the visiting sides, who were expected to give a tough fight to the hosts, did not show a glimpse of it. Fortunately for India, the latter was the one where they were the hosts. The series did start with the micro trouble from Wuhan entering the Men in Blue camp. With few people players and support staff testing positive, the team had to be chosen with more alternatives like Deepak Hooda, Prasidh Krishna simlar to the selection of Mohammed Siraj , Washington Sundar Shreyas Iyer , Shardul Thakur before our memorable test wins. The good side of the team was the inclusion of youngsters in the squad. Also another positive for India was the performance of a few of their players who were not performing earlier. The resistance showed by the middle order in all three matches was better, if not commendable compared to the earlier series. Iyer managed to overcome his short ball fears, eventually scoring good innings in the final match. Mr 360 of India, Surya got in good touch, scoring the highest 104 runs for India in the series. Deepak Hooda did manage to take India to a victory in the first match with composed innings. Deepak Chahar grabbing the opportunity to contribute with the bat as well as the bowl was a very big positive yet again for Men in Blue, who had witnessed his heroics in Colombo earlier, and in the ultimate match of the Protea series, where he just fell short of winning the match for India. Bowlers contributing more than the batters in the series has been a common phenomenon for Men in Blue for the past year. These happened on a subcontinent pitch in Motera. Prasidh Krishna made an impact yet again when he was bowling in the right areas rewarded his team wickets, and him the "Man of the series" award. Siraj continued to impress everyone yet again. Chahal did his part to choke the runs and pick the big man Polly. Sundar proved his selection as an all-rounder is worth it. A chance for Kuldeep Yadav was heartening to see for Indian fans. And he caught upon it. Although the combination of kul -cha was not witnessed together, the chance given to both of them might help both of them regain their confidence. India missed the elegance of the best batter in the world. Indians eagerly waiting for Virat's 71st century were disappointed to see their star struggling for a bit. This became the only series after 2015 where the King failed to score a half-century. But the energy he displayed on the field, and him helping the skipper Rohit Sharma to set the field was a moment many stored as their mobile wallpapers. Unfortunately for the media and its sources, the news of the rift between the two was proven wrong yet again. Speaking of Hitman, the man continued his winning record as a captain in the limited over format. His rotation of bowlers was spot on, so were his field placements and the reviews. Barring the few decisions like unnecessary experimentation of Rishabh Pant as an opener, when already 5 players are fighting for the opening slot everything went well for the Indian skipper. Again, one would have loved to see the future star Ruturaj Gaikwad opening for Men in Blue, but the combination was not possible due to the availability of a lot of options. Nevertheless, the series win was a confidence booster for India. It redeemed the memory of the South African series where Men in Blue were whitewashed. Hitman's captaincy also compensated for Kl Rahul's captaincy stint. The series showed a new bunch of players, all of them proving again how they could be useful for the team. If this team does not become overconfident like the South African series, they would win the T20 series too. With the rising confidence, one can hope that happens. Also, along with that one can hope our beloved king Kohli returns to form displaying his flurry of eye-pleasing shots in this series. • Dr Pratik Mungekar on "Education Beyond the syllabus"

On the occasion of blissful Vasant Panchami, 5 February 2022, 20 Speakers across India joined Eduthon with a motto of Education Beyond Syllabus. The event was organized by: Win Connects Intellectual Network TM Sponsored by: ScholarsTree Educare Private Limited Media partner: Stay featured Creative Partner: Arena Animation Tilak Road Education Partner: Yoga at Chiranjiv Foundation, Palingo Let's read the thoughts of Dr Pratik Mungekar , during Eduthon A conference is not just an avenue for a scientist, Educator, Teacher to present their research to the wider community, but it can be an important venue for brainstorming, networking and making vital connections that can lead to new initiatives, papers and funding. A major activity in the life of an academic is the professional conference. It is common knowledge that this is a place to present your research, but what about other benefits of attending a conference? It is commonly accepted that attending a conference is a great way to be exposed to the latest studies and ideas from your field. Conferences are also a way of getting face-to-face interactions with leaders in your field, and for those just starting in academia, they are a way to gain valuable advice and mentoring. Additionally, they are a way to start collaborations on papers or projects, and to more directly advance your career by finding new positions or to build your program by using these meetings to recruit faculty, students, or interns or to even to make money, by selling your new technology or software to practitioners. Conferences are an invaluable resource to academics beyond just the conference presentations themselves. Eduthon: Education Beyond Syllabus what a concept!! I cannot help myself expressing immense pleasure to be a part of a keynote Speaker in the mega event. All the sessions I attended were interesting and insightful. I have delivered my talk on Education Beyond the syllabus. It was an amazing experience kudos to Eduthon team for organising such a beautiful yet professional conference. Here I am attaching my Talk Transcript for our readers. To create learning environments that are inclusive, diverse and engage all types of learners, we need to provide students with learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. This is key to supporting and enhancing the learner experience and achieving positive educational outcomes for students. By extending learning beyond the classroom, you open the door to many more learning opportunities for your students: * Provide more engaging and relevant learning. * Increase opportunities for students to access and interact with learning materials online. * Further develop a student’s digital, collaborative and independent learning. * Provide greater opportunities for revision, feedback and informal learning. * Enhance capacity for inclusive and individualised learning. How do you Extend Learning Beyond the Classroom? An important aspect of extending learning beyond the classroom is to use and present a range of learning materials in new and engaging ways and to structure class and homework time with more flexibility and collaboration in mind. Enable communication anywhere and at anytime Students often find it challenging to progress their group work outside the classroom. Using online tools can assist to keep the momentum going with group projects after students leave the classroom. Some examples of these tools include: * Social streams. * Wikis. * Blogs. * Forums. These online tools are available via a Learning Management System and enable students to create conversations and work collaboratively in a virtual classroom. An added advantage of accessing these tools via a Learning Management System is that students are able to participate in a monitored, safe online environment. All of the contributions are identifiable and explicitly connected to an individual student. This not only enables the teacher to correctly attribute contributions but also ensures appropriate use of a system that can be easily monitored. Utilise a flipped classroom. Instead of the teacher providing direct instruction in class and then setting homework, an educator could ask students to access online content at home and then have them complete the task in class—known as the ‘flipped classroom’. This approach means students use the lesson to: 1. Apply new knowledge. 2. Ask questions. 3. Receive immediate feedback. By delivering content online with the use of educational technology, a student is able to work and progress their learning at a pace that suits their needs. Students who have missed lessons due to illness or would like to review content again can also easily access materials at home. Create an inclusive learning environment A truly effective learning environment supports and meets the needs of all kinds of learners. This creates equitable access to learning opportunities and improves a student’s chance of success. This approach of inclusive education is best seen where learning activities are customised so that they challenge more able students and also, support those who need extra guidance. This support and inclusion also applies to those who have missed class time. In these instances, teachers should still be communicating the curriculum to them and continuing to support their learning. Having an LMS and a communication portal is invaluable to meet this requirement. Parents are also connected to the LMS and School Portal ecosystem, which further helps to facilitate support and communication when the student is unable to attend school. The Modern Landscape As technology has evolved, the virtual classroom has taken its place, next to the physical, as an important avenue to deliver and interact with learning materials. Through the use of online learning environments and learning management systems, teachers can now design virtual spaces to support and extend a student’s learning environment. This means with the right technology, learning can occur anywhere, anytime, to suit the learner. if you want to watch and cherish the memories of eduthon, click on this link https://fb.watch/b3eCh74uZ7/

Dr.Pratik & Dr Uche has done the Moderation of this conference so gracefully. It was a grand Successful SDG Summit/Conference. Overall, the SDG Summit demonstrated the continuing strong commitment of the international community to the 2030 Agenda and to multilateral collaboration for achieving the SDGs by 2030 Key Messages from this International conference/SDG Summit: The commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development remains steadfast at the highest level of government and among stakeholders. Yet it is clear that the world is not on track to meet the SDGs by 2030. The future is now, and the Earth's systems are changing quickly. The SDGs can still be achieved if the international community steps up the speed and ambition of its actions. Many countries have been proactively implementing the SDGs, incorporating them in policies and strategies, and outlining their long-term vision for transformation to more sustainable and just economies and societies. However, the shared view is that the global response is not yet sufficiently transformative. Most of the 21 targets designated for achievement by 2020 will likely not be met and we are not on track for achieving many other targets by 2030. Governments cannot do it alone; they are reaching out to forge new partnerships with civil society, businesses, and the scientific and technological community. National plans must reflect a singly interconnected world, and address complex flows of goods, capital, information and people. For such efforts to be effective, it is imperative that all countries pursue the SDGs as systems, fully recognizing the interconnections across sectors, countries and levels, from global to local. Positive synergies need to be harnessed and difficult trade-offs need to be addressed more quickly and effectively, Interventions can have multiple impacts across the SDGs: human well-being and capabilities; sustainable and just economics; food systems and nutrition patterns; energy decarbonization with universal access; urban and peri-urban development; and global environmental commons. Across those areas, governance, economy and finance, individual and collective action, and science and technology are important levers that can help countries to achieve positive synergistic impacts across the SDGs. While there is sufficient knowledge to act now, it is key to ensure that knowledge is available to those who need it. This requires strengthening the science-policy interface and creating knowledge platforms in every country. Unequal access to scientific data and knowledge systems is a major obstacle to the universal implementation of the 2030 Agenda, particularly for the Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States. Urgent action must be taken by development partners to overcome this deficit. Weaknesses in governance, corruption and declining civic space are major obstacles to the SDGs and promoting human rights and supporting actions to foster peace and justice are essential for progress. The world is entering a decade that will be decisive for current and future generations, and for all life on the planet. Through the SDG Summit Political Declaration, Heads of State and Government pledged to make the coming decade one of action and delivery.
